There are videos regarding jobs in Japan for Engineers, how to apply, etc But have not found any videos for commerce students telling about jobs available, skills required, which courses are more required, the process of registering and lots more. Hii, we have talked earlier also. First of all this is a very very informative video. I wanted to ask you what would be better TOEIC OR TOEFL i am a bit confused. I have heard from a Japanese person that TOEIC would be better if you want to work in japan.

    • @RSPinJAPAN
      @RSPinJAPAN  3 года назад +5

      Yes you are absolutely right, TOEIC works in Japan and when you wish to apply for jobs TOEIC is what you should go for.
      For the following reasons.
      1. It is easier than TOEFL
      2. It is for testing your Business English
      3. You need not take the writing and speaking test only Reading and listening is fine
      Hence, Yes TOEIC is the one you should give. I gave TOEFL because it was the only exam that was being held during the pandemic. And it was possible to take the exam from home. TOEFL Home Edition.
      Also giving TOEFL allows you to try for other counties too. As is it accepted worldwide. But TOEIC not so much.

      You have the freedom to opt for English or Japanese taught course. There are language courses available in the University you can opt to learn it. And obviously if you thinking of going to Japan then you should start learning it before hand because you have to make conversation with your professor as well as the local people there to sustain.

      If you want to get into Japanese Language Schools then you need to have your basics clear and your JLPT certificates is needed to strengthen you Visa profile. It depends on bank to bank whether they provide educational loans on language courses or not but as far as I know then don't provide it for language courses. But you can still try asking them about this.

    • @RSPinJAPAN
      @RSPinJAPAN  3 года назад

      Hi chetanya.
      I would suggest since you have 2 complete years left to plan everything. Start learning Japanese. Then start looking for the uni you would be interested to go into and see if they have english courses. Also you do not need to waste your time and money to go to a Japanese language school because you have quite some time to prepare.
      Vocational college is also a good option but from them you need fluency in Japanese. Most of the vocational colleges are in Japanese. It always better to get in to university. Also IT field has very good scope here in Japan. you can refer to this link : www.ipa.go.jp/english/ikc/index.html for understanding your opportunities and where you need to focus.
      Hope it helped ! Best of luck

      Actually you have to meet the minimum requirement for the particular job you are searching for. So , I think you'll not be eligible to apply for jobs right now. But you can definitely apply once your course is completed. And start applying 6 months before your graduation. Till then learn Japanese language because the minimum language requirement is N3 so start it before hand if you really want to work in Japan. So does Japanese companies would give opportunities to a guy who is in his early 30's? I know hiragana and katakana and currently studying kanji just for fun. I always wanted to move to Japan but couldn't afford it. Now I'm have a good freelance that makes good money and I really want to work in Japan. Yes definitely freshers do have equal chance but will you get a job or not totally depends on the skill set you have and how well you are in representing yourself in Japanese. If you talk about the money you need to get there, then it includes your flight and accommodation, flight costs around 25k at minimum and goes upto 1lac depending upon the time and situation, hotels or hotels will cost you around 2500 Yen to 5000Yen for 1 day. Good is very expensive here in Japan it will cost you around 1300 yen to 1600yen per meal. So you can plan according to your stay. If you get the job in the job fair then you can convert your tourist visa to work visa from there itself.
