he is so right, i try to be different and be more creative with skating and my friends criticize me and say im a pussy for not skating handrails and say im gay for wearing highwater pants when all i wanna do is be different and creative like Marc Johnson and Spanky because there's no rules in skating, every skater should skate however they want and do whatever makes them happy on a skateboard and shouldn't get criticised for it, because skating is fun for everybody and its whatever you make it
I'm 35 now and I had a trick since I was a kid that never been done. It was super uncool when I was a kid but as I grew up I figured out a way to make it look gnarly or at least harder than a freestyle trick. If you couldn't figure out a way to bring it to street obstacles it wasnt legit. Now I'm getting old and never got it filmed...its cool.to see since all the replies in this video that skating is starting to change finally. Maybe it's time to unretire and film this trick for once and for all.
O well Marc your Fully Flared part is one of my favorites. And that cover on Thrasher is sick you're still doing it.
Holy shit, I can relate to this part of the interview, beginning, middle, and end. Skateboarding has gotten to convoluted, I've had anxiety attacks, and my inward heels like that shit. Awesome.

@yogan yog I thought that too, but to me what hes saying is, theres so many rules to skateboarding, now people are becoming generic and only skating things that are considered "cool", when we have the entire world at our disposal, as he highlights with his casper on the cover. But it can be interpreted that way i guess.
