Today we are reviewing a very exclusive gshock square that was released at the end of 2019.
It's the all titanium GMW-B5000TCM with the camo pattern.
The last iteration of the material evolution of G-Shock, this is the third material used, after gold and steel.
Because of the dark color this looks much more like a G-Shock, unlike the polished blingy steel models, but the lack of weight might be a problem for some as titanium does feel like plastic to some!
Regardless of how you feel about the material, one thing is sure, it looks amazing and Uber cool!

LOVE what Casio are doing with the new premium squares! I collected G-Shocks when I was younger and then moved to luxury Swiss watches as I got older but now all these new releases has made me a G-Shock collector once again.
Paid 1700 and love the heck out of this thing. I don’t regret paying so much for a digital watch as I adore it!
This watch has everything. Except me...damn the price. I've tried some whole titanium watches from Boccia and they feel really, really light. And it's true titanium feels warmer than steel.
I just got the GMWB5000MB-1 matt black. It looks like a regular G-Shock. Will be my daily wearer.

I agree its a Casio FFS and a big no from me. I got a 5.11 titanium tactical watch for a lot less and it does not have to have titanium blasted on it to prove what is.

Maybe you don't, but its a real tactical watch used by people in the military and gun users in clubs. This casio is nice but designed for armchair and keyboard warriors.

I was given in 2012 a titanium Casio Pathfinder, and it looked heavy, but is very very light. Not being a gshock it still took a beating and still works, but the cost wasn't nothing near to this gshock.
The Ti bracelet and the Composite bracelet look and feel entirely different!

Just bought one in Mint Condition with all of its original bells and whistles "Box Papers" for Under $1000 Which to me is more of a fair price.
I really hate paying full price for a Casio that is Over Priced even if it's Titanium.
I also Purchased the Tron Version for half of the Original price. It to will come with it's Original Paper Work and Box. As well as in Mint Condition.
Next on the line is the is the GMW-B5000TVA-1DR Black Model with Red accents on it. Hopefully I'll find that one for less than a Thousand.
I love this watch so much I had to get one. The watch wears nice and for me the look is great looking.
A amazing titanium square which is very comfortable to wear and can take a proper beating the front face of the watch has a step so it protects the glass screen which i really like

Great review and content, where I am this is being sold locally for 2500 bucks, I love Casio and love g shocks but for me that's too much... Great watch though...
When they make a Titanium matte black one, without the gold color, and positive display for 1000€ or less i will buy it.

Love the metal G's and their newer designs, but....I think there will be a pretty limited market for a watch like this at that price. Interesting that Casio is testing that market, and if they can sell watches for 70 times this price, I'm sure someone will want this in their collection.
If you don't like the tendency to scratch the steel full metal squares, what do you think of the aged IP black square? It's pre-weathered so you shouldn't have to worry about scratching it.

Nice to see Casio moving into titanium, but NO WAY can I justify the ridiculously high price tag. I have titanium watches by Seiko, Casio that cost far less. Now that you’ve got this new models for titanium bracelets and bezels, keep cranking out production models until the price point is more in-line with your competitors, Casio!
I am a mechanical watch man, an Omega fan to be precise, but I did pick up a GMW-B5000 for work on Black Friday at a bargain £210(aprox $270) which I really am very fond of and am about to pull the trigger on this one too now.
I can get it right now for £1110(aprox $1440) but it still seems big bucks for a Casio, should I or shouldn't I?

@@WatchGeek Indeed it is but as I said already I love my mechanical watches first+foremost and that big lump of dough is more than a quarter of what I require to snare the just released orange bezel Planet Ocean 215.30.44.21.04.001 off my local AD.
I need that Omega in my life a lot more than I need this Casio, I can't lie.
@@charliezobel511 Did you end up buying that G or the Omega? I have a mix of mech and quartz, and yep have same hard time spending so much on a digital watch. Nothing wrong with them and I have a full metal silver steel G square I love, but these things cost so much. There's a lightplay, fine detailing, etc. that make analog watches so very appealing. This titanium G costs almost what my Oris did, and much as I love these G's, the Oris is a much more handsome watch with lovely detailing and the added intricacy of the mech movement. But some will call it a downside I'm sure...I see the pros to both and like having both in my watchbox. But lean towards analog over digi especially for what they charge for these!
Not my cup of tea! I bought a Pro trek PRW-3510Y-8CR with the STN display and it blows all the G's away. In fact I doubt I'll buy a G again after owning the more capable Pro treks!
Now looks cheap compared to what may come with the leaked titanium MRG models

This is the ultimate "meh". Engineering-wise there's nothing that costs $1600 - titanium simply doesn't cost that much. Any of the cheaper full-titanium Citizen Eco-Drives can attest to. The SS version should be around $300 and this can be sold for, say, $500-600 as a more premium version.
The thing is, people WILL buy the titanium model so Casio can put any price tag on it.
I'm kinda disappointed with the direction Casio is going with this.

I've got the steel g-shock but it is not blingy enough for me so now I wear a Rolex steel stunner. A gold stunner is probably in my future. I am too damn old to wear modest watches)
Hopefully there will be a camo SKMEI along shortly for $20 which will sit happily next to my full metal SKMEI Shock which was $9.99, possibly the best $9.99 I've ever spent.

If this was priced arond 800€ I would have bought it. But 1500€ in Europe? Are you kidding me?

I've got this in black.
Bought it used for £300 when RRP was £500.
The watch looks cool but it's a but in the heavy side.
Other bad points are :
- glossy case makes it look cheap like plastic. It's beyond my comprehension why they've chosen to make the bracelet matte and the watch case glossy. Bracelet looks much much better than the case.
- for a watch that does very few things this is very expensive and to pay 1.6 k for nomater what materials is just beyond ridiculous. The capabilities are identical to a standard b5000 plastic watch which goes for £70. Got to be mad or crazy rich to pay £1600 for the same functionality in a different case.
- the buttons are clumsy to operate as the are located between two massive ridges on the watch case.
- the display is although very clear is impressively small by 2020 standards. It's just ridiculous.
All in all its I will live with the shortcomings but the asking RRP price is just ridiculous. The most disappointing fact among the shortcomings listed above is the size of the tiny display size. I love the rugged looks and the fact that it is a watch and not a smart watch.
I wish they'd make a "lite" version that would have a larger screen and be lighter. Casio should get in with the times and ease up on the shock protection to save on weight and use the rugged design as a fashion statement. We don't operate as many heavy duty machinery like we used to in the 80's.
It is pure beauty, but price is pure evil 😈

I'd love one of the titanium ones, but that price is stupid. Ridiculous stupid. The steel ones are too expensive at $500, but the titanium prices are nuts. Even with new mold, this is hard to justify.
