Hello, Recently i have been very busy with exams however from the 18th of June I have prepared a new scheduled with different games and people etc which should be a lot of fun, in the meantime check out my friends channel who does medieval games such as warband etc, help me get him to 1k. It would make him very happy;) His channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCF7cQnlbIksEIz4h93uOHcg Thank you again for all the people who have stuck around even though i have been inconsistent Bannerlord please these blogs are dead jeez
Ironhawk isn't there the possibility that this is a good thing they may be saving a lot of info for when they give the release date later this summer or it maybe just that they don't really have anything to mention anymore it might be unlikely but still I think this is a sign we are getting close than we have ever been to a release date=)
Hey Ironhawk, just feel like i ought to tell you that "Turkic" is different from "Turkish". Turkic is a word that refers to a large portion of land in the east, originating in Mongolia.
It's not stealing from GOT, griffons and lions were used in that color scheme for many family crests and coat of arms. You could say that GOT, Bannerlord 2 and harry potter stole from history. You're just so invested in GOT that you've associated that symbol with the lannisters.
Admiral Arie I'm so glad someone said this. Has no one seen historical crests, banners, and symbols? What is this game of thrones stuff you keep talking about? Some show where stuff *is gonna happen soon* for the entire show...
The Lyon rampant is not copy right that crest has been used by quite a few noble families throughout history and have been used in video games way before Game of Thrones so its not a copyright.
its not copying the lannister flag... lannisters copied ancient banners multiple kingdoms used something similar hell..games through out history of video games have used this flag...
I totally disagree Ashley. They shouldn't mention some show to have anything to do with their historical symbol, considering that that show took that symbol as well. They don't need credit for something that's not their work.
Yeah, sorry, maybe acknowledge wasn't the best word. I think they should not use it because it's already recognisable to people. Honestly, I doubt it will make any real difference what they use.
Rights to the design isn't the problem, the problem is when people see it they don't think 'Vlandian' because they're thinking 'Lannister', which isn't ideal.
In the next dev blog we will be talking about all the different types of boots there are in bannerlord... brown boots, black boots, and possibly even grey boots in the future
The celtic Faction has a triskele as banner. I think it is one of the best they could take. It is like the skullflags for pirates. No modern influences Were taken there.
Taleworlds probably doesn't want to mention anything about release because when they did last time they were way off .... Apparently we won't get a release date except when the game is 99-100% done , and we probably will know whether this will happen this year or not at the next E3 .
Haze Usually with games is that they start developing without announcing and if they do announce at some point they keep it light and release very rare information .... Then they do a large marketing campaign ( trailers , videos , pictures , articles , shows at e3....etc ) only some months before release so that they build hype and increase sales . What Taleworlds has done wrong is that they posted the sieges / battles / gameplay videos ( Which generated massive hype ) way before release and with big intervals between each video , about 2-3 videos per year only 6 mins each which really ruined the hype built . The only way I see to fix this is that they release tons of trailers , videos and gameplay demos once they know when they will release the game to generate hype again .
Mohamed Atef idk f you’ve seen since your post but taleworlds has announced that they won’t be going to E3 but they will be going to other conventions with the game.
Jynx209 I have seen , and hopefully this is because they want to make a big show at the other conventions . Also if we don't get a release date at gamsscom for example then the game won't be released this year or even early next year .
Why is it taking so long for Bannerlord? The blogs are showing us that everything is prettymuch done so it should be done right? the longer it takes to be release, the more perfect it has to be to avoid outrage from the community if there are issues. it is annoying because we all love the game and respect the makers but it seems they arent respecting us by frustrating us so much, and disrespecting us in a way. all of this is coming from love for the game they made, but i still dont expect it this year for some reason
Also complaining when games are rushed, but now we are also crying when the game takes too long to make and we have to wait for it. Be happy they put their effort in, even if it seems something as silly as flags. Better to have a good game that works 100% and is fun to play then another No Man's sky or a BF4 release.
You know damn well you'll go online first day it's on the play through get decimated by other players, log on the forums, cry, whine and complain about something being overpowered or missing entirely. Then you'll say they should have done more in working some elements, this that and another . And then you'll go back online, get frustrated and destroyed again by your lack of skill or patience, and you'll say you'll refund your money! Admit it now, I'm right. Don't believe me? We'll see soon enough.
Man I really hope we have a house system in which any lord having fiefs such as villages, castles etc establish their own house, have kids, and sometimes have inner-conflicts within houses not affecting any outside nations, and also have rebellions, maybe civil wars lmao.
It is not a Lannister Flag. It is a simple Heraldic lion, or Rampart lion Used in hundreds of cultures around the world... Im too lazy to rant about it for you... But here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_(heraldry)... read up. Why does everything medieval nowadays need to be about game of thrones... -_-
I actually love learning about the research and thought put into little aesthetic elements like this, but I don't think it should constitute a dev blog. If it was apart of a different collumn for this, that'd be great!
Thats basically the coat of arms of Norway or Finland, without the extra stuff, and looking less "medieval" in art style. Both are Lion Rampant d`or, whhhh--eee-umm-sheet I forgot the name for red background. Anyway, in heraldics, the style doesnt really matter, the description does, so basically this is the correct base starting point for both Norway and Finland. Add a crown and two handed axe, and its Norway, add a crown, a sword, a saber in the lowest quarter, a knights glove and a bunch of silver roses and its Finland. Trivia: When I was in school, I drew the finnish coat of arms for a finnish guy and put the silver roses in a line just to annoy him and he was like, No-aaargh-gasp-nooo its not like that, the roses have to be is certain places! And I was like, the rules do not state the placement of the roses, only number and colour, so its absolutely correct, just different than you are used to. Extra trivia. The colour is not "yellow". There is no colour yellow in heraldry, the colour is called "gold" no matter what Photoshop claims! Disclaimer: I dont actually speak french, I just read about heraldry, so if anyone finds something wrong with any of this, its ancient french not modern french you bagel munching pansy! Completely differééént. :-P
Oh ffs Taleworlds... this is just sad. Could they atleast tell us how much of the game is done? 50%? More? Less? I have been patient, but If they don't soon come up with some great news then I don't know what. A development time this long doesn't usually mean good.
9:30 Turkic as in the culture group not the people in Turkey or the people in Turkestan. It consists of many people of the Eurasian step who's languages are all related.
"We are considering Early Access, or perhaps an open beta of some sort. We definitely want to involve players at some point so they can dig in and help with final touches and game balance." This seems to be a very small thing, suggesting that they could be trying to get a single player Early Access ready and the reason they have to fill up dev space, is because they are ironing out bugs
Ohhhhh, they were working on flags... Well that explains the delay. Here it is fellas, the flags. Those darn things were the hold-up. Well great, now that this is done and out of the way, I'm sure Bannerlord will drop any day now. We'll done Taleworlds. After completing a monumental challenge like creating flags you must be very proud of yourselves.
I just do not understand the philosophy of gamers these days... First you complain when a game is rushed, now we are hyped and complain it takes too long. Just be patient and the game will be good, be happy they even take their time on goddamn FLAGS, so that the game will be better... They could have released it summer 2017, but who knows, maybe then we would have all cried what a shit game it would be.
+Steven Kingdom come had a rocky release, but after a month or two it was VERY playable. I had no problems with it. If Bannerlord were to release and have to wait for 2 months for intense patches and fixes, I would have no problem with it releasing now. So, yeah, I could wait a while. But this while is not a few months.... It's years.
Nikolai Ludovik it’s been 4 years not 6. The game was announced in 2012 but wasn’t started on till 2014. 5-6 years isn’t shocking for a single player game. Look at skyrim 6 years to develop. If it’s 7+ years then yeah we’ll have a problem but working on a good game for 4 years isn’t unheard of
The arrival of the Turks to Anatolia is the Central Asian ruins. The Turks and the Mongols are the same, but they have lost their belief in the steppe and have passed into settled life and changed their religion in time. For example, the Turks are Islamic Mongols Buddhism (Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Azerbaijan, Turkmen, Crimea and Others)
just Give taleworlds a Break please. they are working on it. and the flag with a lion is like most comon flag of europe and not and not everybody cars if its a flag of lanistars.
Sanguineus 23 considering it's not the lannister flag at all, I agree. Sad that GoT are some ignorant to history to think their show is the root of all their flags' inspiration.
The Vladian banner is the Swadian banner with a slim and shiny gold lion instead of the black one. If anything throw poop at them for the clear next-level creativity. But then again. It is meant to be a pre-quel. So some hints here and there?
Yeah lol dude idk if calling the flags out for looking like fidget spinners was supposed to be a joke but those symbols are based of real life symbols found in engraved Celtic stones or Viking text. Like either you need a brush up on history or you spend to much time on these games that you actually think all those banners and symbols are modern designs.
I agree ironhawk this is ridiculous getting sick of these very dull dev blogs.. I just want literally any part of the game to play or at the very least a release date. Didn't taleworlds say the game was almost done like a year ago?
No, the lion matches the Scottish royal standard more. Less so the Norwegian one except the tail. Honestly there are plenty of lions rampant in medieval heraldry.
Hello, Recently i have been very busy with exams however from the 18th of June I have prepared a new scheduled with different games and people etc which should be a lot of fun, in the meantime check out my friends channel who does medieval games such as warband etc, help me get him to 1k. Would make me the happiest person in the world Mr Hawk.
Ironhawk Frostybanter? Aha good one
Ironhawk isn't there the possibility that this is a good thing they may be saving a lot of info for when they give the release date later this summer or it maybe just that they don't really have anything to mention anymore it might be unlikely but still I think this is a sign we are getting close than we have ever been to a release date=)

Admiral Arie he only said that so he could make a clickbaity thumbnail
The Lyon rampant is not copy right that crest has been used by quite a few noble families throughout history and have been used in video games way before Game of Thrones so its not a copyright.
its not copying the lannister flag... lannisters copied ancient banners multiple kingdoms used something similar hell..games through out history of video games have used this flag...
Very true, but they should acknowledge it currently has cultural meaning.
GOT doesn't have a monopoly on that coat of arms.
Lannister's flag was the last thing that popped into my mind, thought more of early Norwegian flag
The celtic Faction has a triskele as banner. I think it is one of the best they could take. It is like the skullflags for pirates. No modern influences Were taken there.
MrArchangel52 Ireland.
turkic was right . . . people from turkey, kazahastan, tajikistan, and so on are all turkic people
aksel trillo Allah is also Turkic.
Turkic is Serbia
I loved the flags. They really have an historical base. Damn I can't wait to play this game
Good luck with exams!
Cheers man

Mohamed Atef its how its always been done with games. Non of this early access stuff. People need to learn patience.

Going by your logic
"They have made the flags so they must be 100% done"

Haha, no. I just think they are stalling and have shown us a near 100% game from the blogs.
too true though. it will be good fun either way

it's a recolour with a little change of king harlaus's banner from warband.
#M&B_did_it_first
not gonna lie i would slap you for saying that ''it remind me of a fidget spinner''

Tale worlds is in Turkey, so yeah, I think they'd get it right.
I remember doing my exams 5 years ago. It was a pretty tense period but I managed. I made it and so will you goodluck

Damn the 2ndUSS i was a part of that awhile back. Top notch
Un-subbed. You watch too much GoT and not enough history. No one cares about whoever the lannisters are and what flag they stole from history.
Not everybody watches game of thrones
Ohhhhh, they were working on flags... Well that explains the delay. Here it is fellas, the flags. Those darn things were the hold-up. For the Celts I would of used the Celtic Boar design which means strength but I figure modders will make some better symbols.
You do realise the celts used all sorts of symbols. The Welsh for example have used Lions, Chevrons, and Dragons in their history!

yep. Game of Thrones is a Great show. But to owerlok our history becous of it is ridiculouse
The khanate banner looks like a smiling cyclops and mike from monsters inc.
Why do I feel like if they're just now talking about the flags that this game is in early alpha....
Hi, it was really epic battle. good job.
The Vladian banner is the Swadian banner with a slim and shiny gold lion instead of the black one. If anything throw poop at them for the clear next-level creativity. But then again. It is meant to be a pre-quel. So some hints here and there?
I think Freeman guerilla warfare will replace Bannerlord
lovely stuff
You and Arcade are my favourite mount and blade youtubers😀😀
HALLLLOOOOO ANDD WELCOMME BACK i love it lol
Let customizable uniforms and banners be a thing
Ironhawk do you now where arcade Knight is
@Ironhawk ill name my first born after you!
gl with your exams, i also have some a level exams
5:27 Which mod pls ?
Light blue is the right colour for Khuzaits, it is the colour of the Turkic peoples...
It's based on a belgian flag not lannister banner
dude you should check out the game World of Castles.
First it was swords, then they moved on to bows and now banners ? are you fucking kidding me ?
Flags and camels !!! Bannerlord 2025 peeps!
I agree ironhawk this is ridiculous getting sick of these very dull dev blogs.. I just want literally any part of the game to play or at the very least a release date. Didn't taleworlds say the game was almost done like a year ago?
They're clutching at straws to appease their fans now lol
Damn son, where'd you find this?
That Lannister banner looks almost like Norway's coat of arms
Just missing the axe
Or the standard of William the Lion (colours switched), which forms the lion rampant on the Royal Banner of Scotland.
Kind off? But for the most part it looks like the Norwegian Coat of arms
No, the lion matches the Scottish royal standard more. Less so the Norwegian one except the tail. Honestly there are plenty of lions rampant in medieval heraldry.
Literally the two only differences is that the Vlandian one dont have a crown and an axe. But sure alot of coats had a similar theme
Your microphone is kinda quite on this video, anyways good luck with your exams.
It's the banner of the ancestors of Swadia plus stop comparing fiction with history
Your thumbnail couldn’t look more click baiting then some cringe fortnite youtuber, type in glyndwr banner for a real life example.
This LOTR mod is still alive? :o
Shit Iron what GCSEs u takin?
For me at least the valandian banner is a rip off from the norway coat of arms without the axe or the little crown
Come on Ironhawk, clickbait?
TrueNordic clickbait?
38th commentary
Turkish and turkic isnt the same thing
Dude just google Turkic peoples...
All the banners sucked
