- the gang know lily is capable of bringing penny back home, but she refuses and sticks to the group's journey. penny, desperate to see her family and home again sees lily as her only chance to return after losing faith in the rest of the group. however as lily starts to become unreachable from penny's desperate cries for help, penny starts to completely lose faith in everyone and loses hope that her family will ever see her alive again (and the other way round)
this is penny's pov, she believe their minds are corrupted by stupidity and that they cant be swayed, and eventually lily, who she knows can help her, is also corrupted by the other's views.

Don't know why, but that beginning lip sync was just sooo good!! There so much great expressions! I am a sucker for huge, emotional expressions, and Penny here just has all of it! The head sway back and forth into the huge expressions is just so clean, and I just love all the times you can look into Penny's eyes and see different things reflecting off them! Just a great video all together!
Prediction: after lily refuses to give the map to penny, penny goes crazy and possibly becomes corrupt herself. She doesn’t understand the views of the others. Desperate she plans to betray the others in order to get the map. She just wants to go home and is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants. But in the process she loses herself and her morals. She’s tired of being turned down and ignored by the others especially para.

I think when I made a comment with what I thought was going to happen I made up the idea she has a map I’m not sure if it’s canon in the actual lore but it’s just something I’ve stuck with since I mentioned it in that video. In the case lily doesn’t have a map I think when/if penny turns evil she would capture penny in order to get the information out of her

woah! this looks so amazing! the lipsync at the beginning was really great, and the tweenning and colour shift works really well!
as a little thing (might probably just me with my crazy headphones, or it might be the song) but i can hear a teeensy bit of distortion in the audio up in the high end (the really high notes and hisses for the "es" sound). if you got the audio off of youtube through a converter then that is probably the problem, it may be better to download it with Spotify then copy the audio from there to ensure high quality. I am an audiophile, and probably the only one who notices lol.
yaa the distortion is intentional ^^ i downloaded it lower quality bc it amplified the beats and fitted the animation much more than the very clean audio and i just preferred it for this animation overall,,

also, if you EQ it, you could have raised the volume of the bass (or beat) without messing with the rest of the song, for future reference.
i pick up a loooot of stuff in music, i played one of my friends the bassline from his fave song, and he didnt recognise it (the song) cause apparently his headphones didnt pick it up lol.

this was absolutely beautiful! Penny’s lipsync was amazingly done, as were the expressions of all 5(2?) characters, and the other representations of everything going on. You keep getting better and better and it’s really fun to watch these!

I myself feel like this executed “serious” while maintaining somewhat of a cutesy feel really well, and the mood it gave by doing so was interesting and fun! I’m excited to see where this all goes, especially with Penny going crazy with homesickness, and with Para’s whole inner-skellies thing.

This is a very well-made meme! The expressions were well drawn, and you can feel penny's pure anger.
But I will say, looking over all your animation memes again, I'm really loving the progression of your story crispy! I would LOVE to see a video explaining the lore, or talking about the story. If its too much I understand, since animation takes a long time and soul, put into work to make animation memes this great. (Simple animation is hard enough to make so..)

So what I can tell, Penny is slowly reaching her breaking point. The Group still sticks to Para’s visions and keeps on the journey. Lily outright says no to helping penny get home (which Lily knows how to, she just doesn’t want to but stick to the journey of everyone else’s) I can see how she starts possibly lashing out? (I’m not sure if it’s to someone or something) it seems like the group doesn’t care that Penny wants to go back home, and seeing how what in her POV states “they’re blinded by stupidity and can’t be swayed.” (They’re meaning by the group including Lily.) so I really think she’s gonna rebel against going further and
either leave the group,
Start a conflict which might possibly involve Lily, para and herself.
Lash out at them for ignoring her cries for help.
Rebel against going further.
Or she might end up lashing out horribly to the point she starts a fight with the group.
I mean Penny Is worried about her family but the group seems to not care cause of Para’s visions (and maybe possibly Lily.) so this could happen. But honestly I’m not sure. I really think when the group realizes how angry she is at them it’s gonna be too late when Penny starts to make a conflict.

HOLY SHIT, what the fuck OH MY GOD! The beginning of this meme was building up to something dramatic but HOLY CRAP I nearly flew out of my seat! The timing, the tweening and animation, the editing, the lighting, and my GOD the expression; this was amazing!
Okay, so!
I love this universe so far. Your animations and character designs are always a delight to see.
That said, I have one question:
Why on earth doesn't Penny just leave the group and go her own way?
I understand they're in a dangerous situation; Penny doesn't know the way home; and her best shot at getting there is refusing to help. All these things make leaving difficult and I completely understand that. But it seems to me the group clearly is not respecting Penny's wishes, and Penny would rather not be there in the first place. So, why is she still around? Why hasn't she flat out told them to go screw themselves and tried to find her own way back if she's THAT desperate to return to her family?
I dunno. Danger be damned, I wouldn't continue to waste my time around people who clearly didn't care about me or what I wanted if I didn't see a reason for me to be there. ESPECIALLY if I was so fixated on getting back home to my family.
It makes it extremely difficult to empathize with the other characters too. I know Para is having visions and I do feel for him there, but ffs if Penny doesn't want to be around they should let her go already! I dunno, maybe the answer to this question is buried underneath a bunch of spoilers. I'm just finding it more and more difficult to care about anyone but Penny the further we go along, and I'm not sure how intentional that is, you know what I mean? It feels like everyone else is just being a dick for the sake of it, not embarking of a meaningful quest.
That said, Lily has been giving me villain vibes since her introduction, so I can at least excuse it with her. But I WANT to like Para, Cody, and Ray…and I don't because of the way Penny is being treated by them! So does she stick around because the danger is that intense, or something else?
I've always assumed that Penny just doesn't know the way back. Like its less about danger and more about the fact that she doesn't have a clue what direction to even walk in--she could go her own way, but ultimately she can't feasibly search the whole world. But maybe not, I dunno.
Heya!! I know this is late but,,
Perhaps she has a slight crush on Para perhaps?? In la primavera on her screen in the sliding part the circle in the bottom right corner shows Para and Lily talking, it could be indicating that she's upset Lily is helping Para instead but it's an interesting detail that quite Alot of the frames include Para and Lily getting along really well. It may make sense considering Para and Penny were on the Quest the longest together. Perhaps in that time she warms up to Para, but then incomes Lily. Who probably becomes good friends with Para and the gang and Penny doesn't feel included.
I love everything about this! The animation, the lighting, shading, and the tweening all make this animation breathtaking! I've re watched this so many times and still love it!
