- 40 light-years away from the Earth. There is a G-type star similar to our Sun. When astronomers were studying this star. They have found a Super-Hot exoplanet. This exoplanet is known as 55 Cancri e. Also called the "Diamond Planet".
55 Cancri e is twice the size of Earth. And almost 8 times more massive than Earth. It's orbiting very close to its host star. Takes only 18 days to complete one orbit. Its surface temperature reaches 2,700° C. 55 Cancri e is mainly composed of diamonds and graphite. Roughly 30% of the planet's mass is likely pure Diamond. It's estimated worth is about 26.9 nonillion dollars. $26,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
