Its true though! Obviously there were other choices, but you literally cannot SEE them when you are in the boxed vision of a CULT. Especially if you are not in wake up mode and you still BELIEVE it with your whole heart 😕
When you asked (20:40ish) how well can you know anyone when dating is chaperoned and everyone presents spiritual resume, not themselves as an individual human. We didn’t show up as ourselves either, not in a malicious way. We were told who to be, so we weren’t showing up as our authentic selves - who’d thunk we even had an authentic self outside of the Borg!?!? That is a recipe for loneliness, hidden truths, abuse, lack of love. The consequences are far reaching.
That is so so true. SO many of us leave and we have no idea who WE are. They gave us a "new personality" 🤣 One NOT ours. How can you hope to find a great relationship under those circumstances?!
