Yeah... this is why you have to wear shoes instead of collect them. Learned recently from a sneaker head about that. The soles get stronger when you walk on them apparently. If not, they fall apart like crazy. This should be common knowledge honestly. I wish I knew sooner than 2 months ago.
Shoes also fall apart faster when they’ve never been worn. This was 😂.
When you're cool, you can even have fun doing simple things, this is why I love how people used to hang out in the 80's or 90's and I get this feeling from your videos Indy 💕 that you don't just do fun things for cute pics, but you're actually having fun, cause you're cool!

They're not cheaply made. They're over 20 year old shoes and they've never been worn

You should try out soaps that this one company started making!! They're called Epic Grind Shoes. I still have a pair of soaps, but I hope to try out these new ones when I get the chance. They seem to be decent but I haven't gotten my hands on them yet

If it was me, I would cut a little piece out of the sole of a skate shoe and screw (and maybe glue) the grind block on, same thing, home made. Your life looks pretty sweet, congrats! 👍🏻💖🐕🌈🌞💕

I bought 4 pairs in 2018/2019 and 3 of them crumbled. First pair of Boltar's crumbled after 3 uses. The pair of Sylons lasted 9 months and I made 14 edits in them before they crumbled though! And my last pair is still in great shape after filming 9 edits. They definitely fall apart fast sadly but the good news is Epic Grind Shoes just launched in April 2022 and I've used them in 9 edits and they are still strong!
Rubber shouldn't rot like that if it is well maintained and stored.

That happens when people dont use the runners, they actually break. That happened to me with a pair of runners i left in the closet for 3 years

This happened to me with a pair of red leopard print Demonia creepers I bought from a vintage shop in 2016. The platform crumbled within 5 minutes and I was soo sad lol

I had the same things with those soles when i recently bought old shoes at the thrift store, they looked almost new but broke after 5 minutes.

I had a pair of Sylons that I bought in 2001 when I was in HS and I found them in my closet in 2014 and decided to wear them to walk down to dinner with my roommate. I did a few quick slides on painted curbs and parking blocks. Then on the walk back home they literally crumbled off my feet just like this and I left a trail from dinner back to my apartment. The shoes also ruined my socks because as they fell apart all this white sticky glue stuff got all over my socks so I had to throw those away too lol

I had that exact model. The plate is the 2nd Gen model. The shoe is the Sylon. I had em grey and gum. I cannot believe she ruined a pair.

I'd've probably tried to duct tape the soles back on, lol. Don't know til you try if you can repair a shoe! Or maybe shoe glue or something? I'm kinda sad they just threw them out so quickly.

These are better made than the original soap shoes that kinda looked like puma. The plates wore fast on the original. I have some Nike dunks which are almost 15 years old... Luckily the soles are sewn on on the model.

hi indy, this isn't relevant to this video but i wanted to know how to tie the moxi rainbow skates because i just got some and if i tie them all the way up they get too tight and i can't really move
Are you sure they fit? If so you'd tie them like any other skate. Mine did not fit so I never tied them. They were horribly too small for my feet.

If you search different ways to lace skates you’ll find a lot of various ways for different feet sizes to see what works for you:)
The same thing happened to me with the Blue styles but it took them 3 days before they finally crumbled so I was able to st least get a few grind sessions in.

Why did they fall apart? Age? Rubber should not do that even after 20 years unless they were stored in seawater!!? I reckon they were knock-offs... sorry. Your bf said they were not original too. They were being destroyed, only walking down the steps. Should never happen if they are new old stock. I hope you sent them back for a refund!
