    I like it! It’s refreshing to see a darker woman who likes minimalist makeup. Not everyone wants to look “snatched” or “beat”.

    Yay! I’ve been waiting for you to post about the Glossier expansion. Love the look. The few times I’ve tried powder it mattifies my oily skin too much and reveals the dryness underneath. I think I would be like you and just embrace the desires with the skin tint and stretch concealer.

    I compared you to the pictures in the Glossier Shade Finder and I think you should have gone for G2, which is closer to your skin tone and also has a warm undertone (not just during the summer). It still looked great on you because the coverage is extremely sheer. That's why I never thought it was such a huge deal that they only had 5 shades before. I am in between light and medium (current G11 and G9) and I just use one or the other or mix them depending on my mood.

    • @DamolaAkintunde

      PlugInKali So my videos tend to make me look a lot more red than I do in real life! I actually have a yellow undertone if you see any of my non edited selfies on my IG Also I DM a pic to the glossier team and they also told me G3 as well

    I'm so happy you made this video! I uploaded my second Glossier video the other day because I found that using tools worked so much better than my fingers, and I thought I was crazy for doing so. I actually use the tip of my beauty sponge for the concealer pot and I find that it's easier to control the product distribution that way too.
    My shades don't really match me at all but since the coverage is so sheer and dewy, it doesn't really matter, but I can't wait to get the proper shade w/undertones.
    I didn't like the liquid shadow, but maybe I need to try that with a brush also. Amazing video as always.

      I watched your review a while ago and it was so good!!

    I really like the sponge too!! I find I have better coverage when I spread it out with my fingers (I use a lot haha) like its a face mask...and then let it just kinda sit/dry out on top of my skin for 5-10 seconds. THEN pat it in with a barely-damp sponge to spread it out and make it blend into my skin!! I find it gives me better coverage this way. One acne-focused makeup channel I follow recommended it!!

    I feel like everyone black woman on YT says they have golden undertones, even if they are balanced or even red leaning. I don't get it. I know lighting can change undertones, but you don't seem very yellow based. I consider myself quite neutral and you seem cooler than me. Light to dark brown shades have yellow in them, it's part of being brown, but it doesn't mean your undertones are yellow.

    • @DamolaAkintunde
      @DamolaAkintunde  4 года назад +2

      JessieBanana I totally hear what you’re saying but I will say that in person I am closer to golden undertones. Lighting can change perception and I also have to take into consideration my entire body is not all one shade so it’s a balancing act. But at the end of the day, it’s also personal preference of what you think looks best on you
