@@mimric4420 I've been to Vis many times; professionally/business reasons, sometimes as a tourist, sometimes just passing by, etc...know the island throughout and can freely say your video is a pretty good representation of the local "atmosphere"... There is still "a ton" of thing you did not cover/seen (experienced the island in different seasons, above & below "the surface", on land and in water, know/mingle with local people ), but within the limited time frame you were there, and all that you had a chance to experience - a pretty good job.
@@lavbarbudito3400 so true, but we unfortunately did not have a lot time there.. but definitely one of the island we want to explore one day more, truly beautiful and we heard that there are a lot more beaches which are completely remote etc., thanks a lot for responding, happy for you that you already experience this island several times
FYI/as a curiosity; In the early 90is, during the war for independence, when the Croatian army started to win the war against the federal Jugoslav/Serbian army in the coastal regions, Vis was still under army control. Many former army officers have built big, vel built, expensive houses there with the intention to retire (once their service is over). But once Croatian forces got the upper hand, they decided to run from the island and were selling their properties for "nothing", like hot cakes (happy to get anything). You could buy a fully functional/furbished 3 story, 300m2 house with 6 separate apartments, on more than 2000m2 property, at the seaside - for a mere 20 000 DM (same as a second-hand car like WW GOLF). A good buddy from Split (a young guy at that time), sold his car, borrowed some extra money from friends, and bought 2 of them for 45 000. Today they are worth a fortune!
@@lavbarbudito3400 wow, didn‘t know about that… can imagine that this houses are now worth a lot of money because such houses you hardly can get anywhere, especially at seaside, would love to have one of this on an island like vis, can imagine beeing there severeal times a year for just relaxing and enjoy life 😅
hey, i think you mean the drone shot? this was on bisevo(we do have 2 separate videos showing this beautiful island, if you want you can check them out :) ) we have been there in september and the weather was great, not too hot(for our dog) but still great weather for sunbathing, swimming & hiking. In october, you surely can have great weather aswell( especially for hikes and stuff) but i think the nights could get a bit more chilly. But can’t say it for sure, better check out some weather sites and climate tables 😅 thanks for watching and liking our video, we appreciate that 😊 have a great day
