I have a feeling that The Turkey Song will prove to be a timeless classic that will still be enjoyed years after Adam & Kevin are gone.

THIS was the prime era of SNL. Back when it was hilarious every single week. Sandler, Farley, Lovitz, Rock, Nealon, Meyers, Carvey, MacDonald, Spade, Schneider, etc....only lineup that even comes close to that, was the OG 70s cast. Great times. I miss those times.
There are stories about how the SNL cast would be up all night for several nights working on writing skits together, many times with drugs involved. There is no doubt in my mind that this was hammered out at like 7AM after all the drugs were done and gone and everyone was tired and exhausted, and instead of trying to work on skits anymore at that point with a fried brain, Sandler was like hey I'm gonna just fuck around and try to write a funny song and maybe we could do something with that. And he made this, and it's genius and it's a classic.

I have to admit, I didn't always "get" Adam Sandler when I was younger. Its taken age and wisdom for me to appreciate his brilliance.
