When the Jamaicans first heard this, they were overwhelmed, one of the best reggae tunes ever produced on the African continent. We love you Thomas and your beautiful country, a country that has a strong influence all over the world.
@@dinuzuluI guess it still stands that they could have been. On that acknowledgment and appreciation note that the home of mankind, is making the same music. The same home they’ve yearned to relocate to, as they’ve preached and cried out in all their songs. And this acknowledgment can be backed by Perfect Giddiman recent post on Facebook. The one he starts a reasoning on Reggae, the origins and all. He in one of the comments mentions Zimbabwe, urging other Africans that they should consult Zimbabwe when it comes to the subject of Reggae. Blah Blah, so that alone speaks huge volumes
Muito obrigada eu sempre quis achar essa pedra, lembro da minha infância sou de Caxias Maranhão , hoje moro em São Paulo maís continuo sendo regueira não tenho nem palavras
Ndiudzeiwo kwaenda vamwe (Please tell me where everyone else has gone) Ndoita mugarandenga (I've become a lone-ranger) Hurombo sekuru wemwana (It's this poverty, my uncle) Honawo ndoenda kwakaenda vamwe (Watch me, I'm gonna go where everyone else has gone) Ndoendawo kwakaenda vamwe (I'm gonna also go where everyone else has gone) The song paints a picture of a young Zimbabwean arriving at a place where he or she usually meets their peers, like school or church or a socially vibrant place only to see that no one else has come, it's deserted. This person starts asking around where everyone else is, he/she is now lonesome. This was a frequent occurrence during the liberation war against the white minority government led by Ian Smith, where all the young people would just get up and go and join the freedom fighters outside the country. He/she then says I'm also following them cos I'm feeling lonesome. Many younger kids did indeed follow their older siblings or friends to the war, some barely in their teens. Good tune over all.
