I'll be honest, I was skeptical about the English version at first. But after hearing it, it ended up being my favorite alt version! It feels like a battle hymn! The enthusiasm from the performers is so infections! And the addition of old English, coupled with the rousing melody and tune just radiates pure love and pride for the country. It fully captures the peoples fighting spirit.
The Spanish version is regal yet warm and homey. The Latin languages always had that other worldly charm to them. The best comparison I can give it, is that it's akin to a father's lullaby.
And speaking of lullabies, as other comments have stated, the Japanese version is the most calming. The version captures the gentle nature and tropical beauty of the Philippines A wonderful ballad for the land called the Pearl of the Orient.

    I like the English Version
-Spanish Colonial Period (15th to 1898)
    -American Colonial Period (1898-1945)
-World War II: Japanese soldiers landed (1942-1945)
    -Republic of the Philippines (1945-present)
I think dapat una ang Spanish Version kay sila man una dumating sa pinas before the Americans but anyway, thank u for this video, very interesting mas natutunan mahalin ang bansang Pilipinas

    Tagalog: Bayang magiliw
    Perlas ng Silanganan,
    Alab ng puso,
    Sa dibdib mo’y buhay.
    Lupang Hinirang,
    Duyan ka ng magiting,
    Sa manlulupig,
    Di ka pasisiil.
    Sa dagat at bundok,
Sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw,
    May dilag ang tula
    At awit sa paglayang minamahal.
    Ang kislap ng watawat mo’y
    Tagumpay na nagniningning,
    Ang bituin at araw niya
    Kailan pa ma’y di magdidilim.
Lupa ng araw, ng luwalhati’t pagsinta,
    Buhay ay langit sa piling mo;
Aming ligaya, na pag may mang-aapi
Ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo.
    English:
    Friendly town
    Pearl of the East,
    heart burning,
    In your chest is life.
    Chosen Land,
    cradle you bravely,
    to the conqueror,
    You will not be oppressed.
    In sea and mountain,
In the breeze and in your blue sky,
    The poem is beautiful
    And song of liberation beloved.
    The sparkle of your flag
    Success shining,
    His star and sun
When will it not be dark?
Land of the sun, of glory and passion,
    Life is heaven in your arms;
Our happiness, that when there is an oppressor
    To die because of you.

Philippine Flag meaning:The white triangle stands for equality; the blue stripe stands for peace, truth, and justice; and the red stripe represents patriotism and valor. The eight sun rays symbolize the first eight provinces in the Philippines that revolted against Spanish colonization

The Tagalog version is the most robust and truly poetic and lyrical ; the Japanese version is enchantingly sweet, so full of beautiful emotional hues, the Spanish version sound awkward and stiff and the English version very difficult for Filipinos given its awkward words and phrasings

The Spanish, which is the original version btw, is the most romantic/sentimental of them all but yes the Filipino (Tagalog) version is robust and the can be the most patriotic-sounding. They are both lyrical and thus poetic~ the Filipino being inspired from the original Spanish as it was translated. The English rendition is apt as a true marching song (as was intended when the anthem was first composed), but the “Japanese rendition” played here is not the actual anthem during the Japanese occupation. It i merely the “Lupang Hinirang” interpreted n the Japanese language.

The English version of Philippine national anthem is really nice. The Spanish version is kinda for classy / elites. Japanese version is kinda solemn or solace. And the original tagalog version were reminiscing of the past ( mine was my elementary to college life ) but if BBM-SARA would choose, please choose the English version, it's kind of wonderful to share it to the world.

@@musicplaylistclassic if that's Spanish, most Filipino wouldn't be joyous because Spanish colonialism was the very start of everything, too many lives lost before freedom was achieved but is Philippines really freed ? No, I think not, the Philippines was still from Spanish because that's were the root of the country name was taken that's why Philippines is still a prisoner of Spanish influence.
