But, I understand not knowing all of your family, because, big families have too many people to be able to keep up with. And also, after a few generations, it gets to be more difficult, if the family is really that big. Especially if they all live in different cities. But, there should still be something told to you, even about the more distant relatives. Even if it was just the fact that you have such a big family, and thus, you have cousins you never met, and may never meet in the future. That should be the bear minimum of what's told to you. Even if nothing else about the family is told to you. Because, it's your family, too, and stuff like this happens.
