Really enjoyed this video finishing up stage 1 of my ppl and have been struggling on my traffic patterns and landings. It was nice to just watch this and see all my training come together.
That's awesome!! Patterns can be tricky because the length of runway along with runway length basically determine every turn decision. Just keep the elongated box pattern in mind and you'll do fine every time!
Nice. When I was training, I did so from my Dad's private strip. 2475 ft long. Prevailing winds had me come in over power lines then 50 feet trees and the beginning of the runway was just about 200 feet past those trees.
Yea this one was interesting because the farmers field at the end where I turned base is just slightly higher than the runway. The hill at the end if it was more windy I would have had a crazy crab angle lol!
Enjoyed watching this video! I’m learning on a PA28, it is an awesome plane & I’m very much enjoying flying it. I did notice that you had the fuel pump on & off through different parts of your flight & was curious as what was your reason for that. Thanks to you and many RUclipsr like you I can still learn & expand my knowledge without being inside the airplane
That's awesome and I appreciate the comment! I try everytime fly to inspire as well as share some knowledge to those learning and experienced. The fuel pump gets selected when switching tanks from left or right, the plane I flew didn't have a both selection. Just helps balance the fuel usage.
i have already flown this piper warrior plane for total 1 hour flight and let me tell you something that you may not believe me but this plane is incredibly easy plane to fly like seriously no joke because I have flown this thing in Essendon airport with no instructions what's so ever because my Flight instructor on my trail flight told me that i am a professional at flying hence no instructions were give but when i flown it without instructions it was unbelievably easy and simple plane to fly no joke at all
Well, it really depends, the hat doesn't bother me but the sunglasses can sometimes. It all just matters where the sun direction is because my polarized sunglasses can mess up looking at the panel. But most of the time I don't have any issue with them.
