- The Ryobi 18V ONE+ Seed And Fertiliser Spreader is a must if you’re frequently spreading lawn seed or fertilise. It’s customisable with 5 adjustable door settings to regulates the flow rate of material to ensure that the exact amount of material required is applied.
It has an Adjustable dispersion width and rate and has a 4L tub which is plenty to fertilise my 130m2 lawn without needing to keep going back to refill.

Nice video, nice review. Was what I'm looking for before buying it. Thanks.
But... bare feet during spreading some chemicals ^^ Take care :)
Excellent for people who cannot use their hand to turn a little crank
This would be perfect!
awesome video mate, very informative. Was looking into buying one of these, this video has helped me make up my mind :)
I’m glad you found it helpful Alex! Be sure to subscribe as we have lots more Ryobi content coming over the next few months.
@@OmniGarage subscribed mate!
Same here. Was surprised Amazon didn't have a product video but this has helped me make me decision. Thanks!
Thanks Johnny. Glad to hear this video helped with your buying decision process!
CAUTION: I just unboxed one I ordered from Home Depot online, filled it up and it won't throw out ANYTHING at ANY setting, mine only have a small slit in the bottom, when moving the setting dial the trap door shown in the clip 1:31 tru 1:39 as moving mine does not.
Wow look at the difference in the green grass compared to your neighbors grass. You should help out your neighbors and tell them your systems of obtaining greener grass. Why is it such a competition with neighbors. Sharing is caring ❤
Ryobi $61, Scotts Wizz $31 at HD. I have a lot of Ryobi 18v tools and batteries, but this tool is overpriced.
Fair enough.
I agree I have a Scotts Wizz. I got a refund at HDepot my Ryobi had a bad gear noise, I mean BAD.
Thanks for this review. Been considering getting one of these to finally try to recover my front yards grass after years of abuse and this has pushed me into getting one next week
Glad you found the video valuable!
Great content! Thanks for actually going through the spreader settings. Other reviews does not even cover that topic. Lawn looks awesome and dominating the neighborhood.
That’s what frustrates us the most too! Hence why we show you the details.
That whole country is one beautiful lawn, lol :))
Great review as always, but next time closed toe shoes would be a much better choice.
Thanks for the kind comment. Noted about the footwear!
Great video, thanks for the full description, im a Tetraplegic, going to get one of these and will be able to use from my Electric Wheelchair ( X8 Extreme), look it up, helps me out with my lawn work
Pleased you liked the video. This tool will be perfect.
PPE? Who needs it when spreading fert/seed/chemicals. Flip-flops are the way to go. ;)
👍🏻
Lol!!! Right??? Plus his neighbor’s grass is absolutely STRUGGLING and he didn’t help him/her out... Great Product and Review, 👍🏾👊🏾✌🏾🇳🇬🇺🇸
Good choice of footwear the ol Japanese work boots 👍🏼
Great video. I really like the views of the Spreader in action. Looks like you get very even coverage. Thanks
Yes this is a nice tool for small yards
CAUTION: I just unboxed one I ordered from Home Depot online, filled it up and it won't throw out ANYTHING at ANY setting, mine only have a small slit in the bottom, when moving the setting dial the trap door shown in the clip 1:31 tru 1:39 as moving mine does not. UPDATE: I did a negative review on the Ryobi website and got a quick response, they offered to send another one, well I just received another one and it was defective as well, as you dial the knob the door in the bottom does NOT move, well looks like I'm back with their CS department again
Hold the trigger further down :) I noticed a small press it will spin, but won't open. Fully press it in and it opens up
That’s super bad luck to get two defective units. Hopefully the third one worked well for you?
Great looking lawn
Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the review great stuff. Just wondering if the opening settings equate to spreading rate per metre square for example? Does it come with throwing rate chart?
I don’t believe they have a direct m2 calculation with each setting unfortunately. I find it best to measure a area of lawn, spread product on a setting and see how much it’s used. Not exactly scientific but the only way to do it without knowing exact throw rates.
your lawn look better than your neighbours.I bought one 3 years ago and works good for feeding my lawn and reseeding
It doesn’t take much to upkeep if you look after it regularly!
i wonder if it can be used to trow salt and sand for melting the ice in the winter ?
Not sure sorry.
how many feet wide do you think it would spread tiny grass seed such as clover?
I would say somewhere between 8-10 feet. I’ve used this to spread seed before and it was fantastic for this application.
What’s your sprinkler head call. What’s the brand ? 😯
Hi Olga. It’s from Bunnings here in New Zealand. It’s called the Pope Metal Impact Sprinkler On Spike. www.bunnings.co.nz/pope-metal-impact-sprinkler-on-spike_p0270437
Dude that’s awesome! Thanks for the demo
Not a problem Steve. Glad you enjoyed it!
How does it go in spreading like fine dust fertiliser?
No experience with this I’m sorry!
I like it, and I may try one to spread some tall fescue blend seed. thanks
Thanks for the comment John! I’ve spread Tall Fescue seed with this - so much easier than a hand crank spreader.
I’m sold I’m gonna be getting ony
This is a good tool and easy to use.
Thanks for the video. Now Bunnings here I come 😀
Enjoy your new toy Dave!
Are you in New Zealand mate? Looks quite familiar :)
We sure are! Are you too?
@@OmniGarage Lived in Auckland for 7 years, then went overseas :) Missing New Zealand a lot nowadays and hoping that the lockdown will be lifted soon.
It’s a nice place to live and yes would be nice to travel again!
My flapper doesn't move. Pissed. This is the only R1 product that don't work. Mad!
Now mine's a couple of years old it gets stuck on occassion too.
this dude out here in flip flops! smh
🤣
Your neighbors need to step up their game, OBVIOUS difference between yours & theirs
😁
Thanks for the close up. Now I know how The adjustment knob on the handle opens the door. I think mine is broken
Ryobi have a great warranty on most of their tools, which should help get things sorted for you!
Subscribed on this review alone. It's hard to get detailed reviews on Ryobi products that aren't actually made by Ryobi!
At $90.00 here in Aus, I think it's a steal. I'm going to be throwing down some granular very soon and have 700m2 to get done. This will be a lot easier than hand cranking it out!
Thanks for the kind comment and the subscription! We have around 15 more tools to make similar videos on over the coming months so there will be plenty more to come. We’re trying to have our point of difference being actual hands on use of the tool, rather than “workshop based” overview giving you all the specifications and features.
I have the Ryobi 18v Backpack Sprayer & absolutely love it. It accommodates a duel nozzle boom with zero loss of pressure.
Looking forward to the other reviews.
Nice! We have two of the sprayers that can be carried (both sizes) but are yet to try the backpack one.
@therickfoxshow did you buy it, how did it go with doing the 700sqm?
@@plakey2001 sure did! It cut my time down by half I would say. I would fill the hopper and a bucket and just top it up as I went along. Highly recommend it for the price if you’re in the Ryobi ecosystem already.
