Although the gas bottle handling was good, when you took the new bottle back there is a moment where you see Wez walking on water which I find massively impressive. :)
Don't adjust the pump pressure or you will just create other problems. Just fit an isolation valve on to the pipe for that tap and adjust that for the pressure you want. You should have isolation valves on all your taps anyway and either side of your pump to make any servicing easier. I agree with other comments about flexi pipes going to the pump to reduce noise and it takes the stress away from the pump connections. Keep the vlogs and the fun coming guys your doing a great job.
Great vlog well done guys! For next time, if you change the pipework a bit and put flexible hose in you'll stop leaks from vibration and it'll be quieter.... also pop the whole pump into a turkey foil tray base so if it does leak it doesn't make the wood damp.
Hi Wes and Amy, Thanks so much for sharing your journey! We have been enjoying your videos very much. Congratulations on 100 plus episodes. We can help you with the chainsaw. Don't throw away that old chain, it really isn't old. You didn't even need to remove it. You can buy a metal file for a few pounds, to sharpen the chain. The chain has to be on the chainsaw to be able to do it and keep it stable. Maybe Wes can Google how to sharpen it exactly and safely for your model of chain and saw, as you have to file it at a specific angle. My fiance works with chainsaws every day at work here in Canada, and can help you if you have any questions about them. He is enjoying Brutus on the show ;-) To avoid blunting the blade prematurely, you should not saw logs that are muddy or have grit or dirt on them as the grit dulls the blade very quickly. The best way to avoid that is making sure you are not chain-sawing anything that is directly laying on the ground and not to dragging your logs or branches through the mud. And you were right to do something about the dullness, as a dull blade makes a chainsaw more dangerous as you end up pushing and using more force. Hope that helps! 💕 Claire & Richard
There ya go, something else to add to your CV's. I've learnt that learning something new every day is a great way to go through life. I plan to have a boat on the canal one day, I'm going for a wide beam though, so if my water pump ever fails I'll pay you guys to fit another OK.
Congrats on an excellent appropriate sponsor, along with appreciation for all who gave you constructive and positive comments below. You deserve it all!
Hi Amy, met you at the Marina a few days ago when you were walking Rufus! I forgot to tell you that I have two lop eared rabbits too! I love my girls to bits!!! Hope to see you out and about on my new boat one day soon. Happy travelling! xx
You guys make me smile and your DIY-ing is 100% better than mine. How are you stopping the shelf grinding your blacking off ? You don't seem to have the wheelbarrow wheel fenders I have seen others use
This was really well done , loved the editing. Wes and Amy’s DIY Channel YEAH! Good work. Invest in a good cart with big wheels for muddy towpaths. 🤗😊❤️🐾 Kathy
Wes doing his DIYtastic best :) Get you two changing the chain on your chainsaw! Great fun as usual. Oh, you may want to sit the pump on some foam or something soft which can quieten it down a lot :)
Hi both, another great vlog as usual. We're intrigued about the duck boat...how do they keep pet ducks on there? Would love to have seen it. Take care, Chris and Pamela
Another cracking Vlog. Nice one with the sponser, and tbf, it's a good deal. 10 quid a month for all those publications plus first 2 month free. Signed up, just hope i remember to read some now.
Great as always. Thanks for the heads up about readly, we're just subscribing. Our boat symphony boat was featured in the July 2022 issue of waterways magazine and can now go read up xxx
Don't throw out the used chain, they can be sharpened pretty easily, a tree surgeon told me once.......... I have forgotten but you will easily find out how somewhere online
I saw a tweet the other day from the govt about a four hundred quid payment that is available for off grid homes, not sure if it's a new one but worth checking
Well that’s probably the first time I’ve ever seen someone’s water pressure be TOO good. We’re currently moving from our flat to our boat. It’s basically a Georgian build and the water pressure is so shite that it basically wee’s itself oot.
Wasn't it for once nice to try and keep something from working better than it's supposed to, rather than always trying to get something up to speed but not quite? Definitely preferable. :^)
@@BoatTimenow the footprint still makes one wonder though doesn’t it? Hopefully it’s ok and the reason for high water pressure isn’t because someone messed it up. 🤞🙋🏼♀️

That thing about calling it before getting too stressed is a smart move since mistakes and injuries happen a lot faster when stress is in play.
Very true!! It’s easy to get caught up in the moment

Haha! Now that would be useful 😂

It's not easy is it, life on a narrow boat. You cope very well. Love your video they are the best. Always happy and smiling 😃
It’s hard work but worth it in the end! Thank you! 🥰🥰
That move was indeed, unironically, very cool!
Haha! Thank you! 🥰💕
This is so weird. I thought I’d watched all your videos, but I discovered I hadn’t. Thank you for sharing
"Anything is a tripod" Love it! 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers
😁 if you are brave enough haha
pump was probably wet because it was tested. Gratz on the sponsor
Amy I couldn’t help noticing how beautiful and healthy your hair looks 🙂
Aw wow thank you so much! I think it might’ve been freshly washed in this haha!

Brilliant tips, thank you so much! We have considered flexible pipes, so might give it a go!
@@BoatTime the water in the pump will just be from the factory testing same as when you buy a washing machine or dishwasher

Congrats on the sponsor. That was a great commercial.
Glad you liked it, thank you so much!! 🥰
You should flip the bar over every time you change your chain, it’ll even out the wear & tear on the bar.
Ah good to know, thank you! 😊
Great DIY skills - plumbing and electrics…and sawing wood. Brilliant!! Love how genuine and down to earth you both are. 😊
Thanks so much! 😊

Thanks for watching! 😊

So far boaters in a marina can access it but not continuous cruisers, so we are waiting to hear updates on if they’re adding us to it 🤞🏻
great skills people thee titanic would never have sunk with you both on board :)
haha thats a pretty big claim, but we'll take it! 😂😂
Get we battery chainsaw 10'' 12'' bar Best thing cutting up firewood
Forget what I said silly me
The water in the pump will be from when it was tested in the factory

Well done Amy and Wes changing your water filter. You should start a sub channel, for all you DIY tips. Brilliant Video. Thank You.

Water in the new pump is probably left over from when it was tested. There's nothing to worry about, guys.

Good to see you're starting to get sponsors, but you know your channel is getting really popular when you get scammers in the comments.
Haha yeah that’s when you know you’ve made it 😂
Hope we haven’t had any in ours? 🤔
Yipee not hoped
Hated the fake acting in the advert really put me off watching your blogs which is a shame as we normally really enjoy them
As we explained in the video the sponsorships help us to make more videos. If that’s a dealbreaker for you we understand 🙂
