    11:57: Translation:
In exile, far from the lands,
    You dwell now, Austria's hope!
    Otto, faithful in tight ties,
We stand by you as a rock!
To thee, my Emperor, may heaven grant
    Old glory and new luck!
Bring peace at last to the people,
    Return to the homeland soon!
Bring peace at last to the people,
    Return to the homeland soon!

The most famous version is the 1826 version, and here is the translation:
    God save Emperor Francis,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
High as a ruler, high as a sage,
    He stands in fame's radiance!
Love weaves for him laurel branches,
Into an evergreen wreath for him!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    Over the flourishing realms,
He extends his scepter far and wide.
His throne is supported by gentleness,
    Rectitude and probity!
    And from his heraldic shield,
    The light of justice shines!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    To adorn himself with virtues,
He deems all worthy of concern.
    Never to repress his people,
Flames the sword within his hand!
To bless them and to delight them,
    Is the prize he desires!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
He shattered the fetters of bondage,
    Lifted us aloft to freedom!
Soon may he see German lands,
And German people in their highest bloom!
And may he hear, at the very edge,
Of a late tomb, his grandchildren's chorus:
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!
    God save Francis, the Emperor,
    Our good Emperor Francis!

In 1828, the last verse had the word "German" replaced with "Austrian." This anthem was used until the death of Francis II in 1835. Then, after his son abdicated in 1848, Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser was used for Franz Joseph until 1867, which was when the anthem officially became Gott erhalte, Gott beschutze.

It is the most famous version, and is often claimed to be the anthem of Austria-Hungary, even though that is not the case.

@@mikhailkagasvorov In 1792, after the death of Leopold II, Francis II became the last Holy Roman Emperor. After Napoleon became Emperor of the French in 1804, Francis upgraded the Archduchy of Austria to the Empire of Austria, which he would rule from then until his death in 1835. However, he did rule the Holy Roman Empire until Napoleon forced its dissolution in 1806.
