    I am not finished my comment :D. So, for anyone who want mastering Excel VBA, Mr. Randy is the boss. Anyway, thank you very much Randy for your great efforts and may success follow you every step of the way.

    Randy, did you know, when you want to copy a line or lines of code like you did in this video, all you have to do is select the part you want to copy (like you did) and hold CTRL and drag the selection to the new location? Might be a good tip for the newbies.

    Smashing.
    My only criticisms are:
    1) how does one know if something is an object
    2) why and when does one know when to use "script"

      Hi and thanks very much Peter. I do have an entire video on objects here: ruclips.net/video/zgN_VNSgmeg/видео.html
      VBA code is great anytime you want to use automation or do take actions on things like a button click or worksheet event.
      I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    Hi Randy. Thanks for the excellent video. Could you please consider making another video showing how to manipulate files and folders that are stored in Microsoft sharepoint locations via VBA? Thanks.

    Interesting! I think FSO is more comprehensive as far as methods and properties (and it's cool to use too), but I didn't realize there was actually a VBA equivalent for some of these common uses.

    I use shell...combined with dictionary to store the files names. Is faster than fso. But this is me.

    good educational video. 2 questions.
    Is this late binding or early binding?
    These examples are static.
    perhaps in the future an instruction video on how you can define the folder or file yourself from a form, for example.
    Thx

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  Месяц назад

      Hi and thanks so much. This uses late binding so that there is no need to attach additional libraries. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

      @ExcelForFreelancers  Месяц назад

      Hi and thanks. It depends what type of references. You can search the use of the INDIRECT function. I hope this helps and thanks so much.

    Is it possible to check if the file is open by someone else no matter a normal file or shared file?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  Месяц назад

      Hi and thanks you can check the FSO library of commands. It may be possible with the FIle System Object however I have not personally researched it at this time. Thanks again for your continued support.
