    "Oh, V - you still gave that pendant I gave you?"
    "Huh... must've misplaced it..."
    "Don't go lookin' for it. Doesn't matter anymore."
    Even when the world changed and moved on and Night City got to V and Misty, chewed them up and spit them out, Misty still is the empathic sage V looks to while V himself/herself keeps going, now in a crossroad of where they want to go in his/her new lease of life. For me, my V finally decides to leave Night City as Misty, Judy, Alex, and Panam inspired that choice, can go on a road trip with Delamain Jr. or Excelsior and visit Judy and her wife in Pittsburgh, even go to Poland with Misty where they go through a spiritual journey and healing to find themselves. And having romanced Kerry, knowing what Kerry had went through and how he reacted to V calling after 2 years, they can get back together and live wherever they want.
    Also like how endings with the most hopeful & good outcomes for V are the ones where V loses the pendant, means that you no longer need to survive and now you get to live, whether as completely Johnny, leave with the Aldecaldos, or actually take the cure and decide to leave Night City to wherever you want. Losing the pendant is always a good sign.
    And if you're Corpo, Misty pulling V up when V lost everything is a great call back to the intro where Jackie pulled V up after V lost everything after getting kicked out of Arasaka, going full circle (could say The Tower fits with Corpo the most).

    It’s a rebirth. V got a second lease on life that nearly everyone else in the story didn’t . Too bad V is too stubborn to see that.
    Or they become a sleeper agent with “shut off cyberware” if you headcanon the theories.

    • @My-tl7bn
      @My-tl7bn 2 месяца назад +1

      V isn't stubborn depending on the dialogue choices you choose. They're content and ready to move on with their life if you tell Misty that they're leaving NC to work at Langley or if they're leaving to live somewhere else. They're only stubborn when you tell her that they're staying in NC to become a fixer.
      Also I don't buy the sleeper agent theory. Not enough evidence for it and if there was some kind of switch to magically activate V's cyberware, Vik likely would have detected it in his scan.

  • @Icy-be5vl
    @Icy-be5vl 10 месяцев назад +2

    What I love about Cyberpunk is the fact that this game shows how evil people really are. And the most evil are people who dares to judge someone for bad things she did just to save herself. Not because she wants power or crazy revenge. Just wants to survive. I already know that everyone who likes Reed are evil. I already know that everyone who decided follow his plan are evil. I already know that everyone who say that this ending here is good ending for V are evil and these people dares to judge So Mi? These people are not only evil. They are hypocrites. Let's be clear about this. So Mi is the one who only wanted to survive. Ellie is the one who kills people for her sick revenge and she is a psychopath. Nothing more. She betrayed and used everyone for her twisted revenge so she is really evil. Reed is a scumbag who will betray everyone to keep his job. He will never change.

      aside from the fact that you're obsessed with TLOU2, you completely missed the point of the dlc. reed isn't evil at all, he's torn between his shithole job to a corrupt government that doesn't deserve his loyalty, and his team (alex and songbird). he tries to have both but betraying songbird gives him neither, alex dies and songbird is either going to die or get sent to blackwall superhell. he's right not to fully trust songbird given her past history of bad judgement calls (the netrunning incident that led to her being recruited by the FIA, the deal with hansen that was supposed to only ground SF1 but instead nearly resulted in myers getting killed, etc), and choosing to trust songbird predictably ends with V getting fucked over after she promises that they'll both be cured.
      the same logic you're using to defend songbird can easily be used to defend a V that takes king of swords/pentacles. V's end goal is to *survive* the biochip, same with songbird trying to survive the blackwall. the game deliberately draws parallels to them both in this respect - KoS can be taken as "okay, well you said we both would be cured but you've actually just used me to save yourself, so now i'm going to take this chance to save *my* life over yours in turn. sorry, but if only one of us is going to be walking away from this alive, it's gonna be me." and KoP is basically "i trust reed. he says he wants to help us both - he's fucked up a lot but that's never been a willful betrayal like you did with myers - we really do want to help." even though you eventually find out over the holocall post-PL that she can't be saved and the matrix is waiting for you.
      reed is also decidedly not a scumbag, nor does he ever betray you (or anyone else) to keep his job. he absolutely keeps his word in KoS/KoP - you are given the cure, the NUSA spares no expense to save your life (unlike Arasaka, the other "best option" who throw their hands up and say "okay go into mikoshi or die in six months"), and when you wake up after two years he even offers you a job at langley since your life as a mercenary is very much over without cyberware. the character you're describing isn't reed at all, that's fucking takemura if he lives in the Devil ending - he has his job back, he's back to being a lapdog - he's happy while *you* get the very very short end of the stick - you betrayed johnny, you betrayed jackie's memory, you're going to die in six months, your friends are going to leave you - it's not a good outlook for a Devil V
      in fact, the entire point of the game's endings is more or less "make the most of your life." you can keep the mercenary life and die in six months (any ending that isn't going into mikoshi/going with alt/FIA), going with alt and giving your life for johnny's (temperance), continue trying to have your cake and eat it too and ending up with neither your mercenary life and your actual life (mikoshi), or keeping your life and giving up everything as a mercenary (FIA). trying to stay as a mercenary *and* keep your life is exactly the same kind of conflict reed has - you cannot have both.

    • @Icy-be5vl
      @Icy-be5vl 4 месяца назад

      @@DifficultyTweak Of course so So Mi has no right to save herself but Ellie absolutely had right to betray everyone for her sick revenge and she had right to literally torture innocent woman to death with a crowbar just for stupid revenge. I am sick of this.

    • @DifficultyTweak
      @DifficultyTweak 4 месяца назад +4

      @@Icy-be5vl so mi absolutely has a right to save herself, but so does V. no matter what, *someone* isn't getting a happy ending. either so mi dies in KoC and V is forced back to square one with the base game endings (which all result in V dying in some way), so mi is forced back into the FIA so that V can live, or V gives up their chance at a cure so that so mi can live. no matter what, *someone* is getting screwed.
      the fact is that the majority of people, in a situation like what V and songbird have, are going to choose to save themselves over another. this isn't evil or wrong, it's just a fact of life that in a decision between my life vs someone else's, mine is always going to win out.
      stop drawing comparisons to ellie btw, songbird and her are absolutely nothing alike. you've made a person up in your head and gotten mad at them
