Here in Germany it is mandatory to wear a mask in public. Weather that is effective or not is unknown, but for now it is the law. Luckily I can wear my respirator from the workshop which is very safe, but most people have to make masks themselves. Even the big chains don’t sell masks yet. Especially not proper FFP3 or N95 masks. Hopefully that will change in a few weeks. Until then you can sew your own. This tutorial is for those that don’t have a sewing machine or lack the time. I had a doctors appointment last week and he only wore a single layer of cloth as well. He was a nose doctor. So it might be good enough. I cannot say for sure, but thats the law here right now. Stay safe, try your best to avoid the virus.

Yeah, my sister gave me a haircut with clippers, but only the sides. Hairdressers are closed and mine is 2h away from home. We have one in a rental property, so I go there whenever I do maintenance there. Better parking situation and I don’t need an appointment.

Proper masks have been sold out for months. Companies like 3M rather sell them to hospitals that need them more urgently. So you need to wear a fabric mask. They will take a few more days to show up in stores.
