      I've had my '23 café for two years now, and it really delivers on it promise. OPs summary is spot-on to this day (as the bike is the same). It's a blast to be aggressive with, but only to a point - which is exactly what we know we're getting into.
      The engine is the star of the show. It has great grunt in all the right places for those of us who aren't flogging it daily and draggin' knees.
      Mods - so far, I haven't done really anything beyond the simple obvious things - tail tidy, sliders, and rotating the bars to get them just right for me.
      I'm unemployed for about a year now, and had to pay an arm and a leg in a divorce. But, once I get back on my feet, I'll do the requisite mods to sharpen it - suspension, intake/exhaust, tires, add a few teeth to the stock rear sprocket - and the single biggest, mod...an ecu flash tune, which 'frees' the engine.

    @1:09 is a problem I never had to consider when I started out in the 1980's. These days, riding/driving near the limit of the car or environment can be frustrating knowing there is pushbikes, slow inattentive drivers & the mobile phone is never far away. Love the sound of the engine on this Kawasaki. The gearbox & clutch on these are particularly good.

    Really appreciate the unique aspect of the raw mechanics you successfully manage to capture. I recently test drove the 2019 MT09 and while I loved all the performance and other things everyone raves about, I could not ignore (or get out do my head) the loud, high pitch engine noise that bike makes. I wish I would have seen a video such as this one of that bike... would have saved me about 3 hours of my day. :-). Keep it up!

    I want this bike so bad. I went to my local dealership, saw it in person and it looks amazing. It sounds great too based on this video. Time to sell my Ducati Monster 696.

    Finally a video that reveals the potential and sound of this great bike!
    I’ve watched many Z900RS videos in the past month and this is the only one where the bike is properly ridden!
    I’m a bit worried about the pegs now. How bad is it?
    Great video! Thanks for that 🙂

      There were feelers underneath the pegs. Remove those and you'll be fine

    This the only bike I'm considering replacing my '03 FZ1 for. You can buy an adapter plate to install clip ons but I actually like those stock bars, they don't look too high. One of the best riding videos I've seen, I'd kill to live near that road.

    Wow, when I first saw the video thumbnail in my feed I was like "Meh, I guess YT is broken now, it's showing me old videos now.. I have seen this "Triumph Speed Four RAW" like what, 50 timess already? C'mon YT, put your thing together.." Then I was "Waaaait a minute!" Is this...? This IS new!"
    And here we are.. Now, Schaaf, I wonder what different method you've chosen and performed, but this is one of the very few 4-cyl engines I like hearing.. Looking forward to your reveal of the new technique.

    • @Schaaf
      @Schaaf  6 лет назад +1

      ahahaha thanks for the funny story :D The method is quite simple: I try finding spots where I can put the recorder inside the bike. Usually they have small storage compartments for tools etc.
