    Thanks for the info! The most basic launch monitors have club speed and club path available for a much lower price, the fact it is not included in the home version is really a deal breaker. Not to mention the ridiculous subscription fee for a limited set of functionality and so few courses. I think the Tru Golf Apogee provides much greater value for money. I would love to see a complete comparison between the Apogee and Trackman IO.

      Your welcome. So first off you can’t do a real head to head with units like that. The Infared causes interference and even if they are both reading won’t be fully accurate. But, as far as club data on low cost launch monitors, it’s a get what you pay for space mostly. I don’t know of any that provide this much club data along with video impact image and impact location at least when talking basic ones. I don’t think Trackman has a goal to be the lowest price though. My talks with them have indicated that they put a ton of investment into the software and hardware and plan for it to be a more premium price. It just might not be for everyone ya know. Thanks for watching and I hope that helps explain some more.

    Great video and appreciate the update!
    Personally, I am really interested in upgrading to the iO for our new home as the system looks great and software is amazing... That said, the fact that the home version doesn't include swing camera capability and club data is laughable.
    How in the world can they justify not providing club data on the home version for $700/year?! They should change the home version name to Trackman Light.

      @GolfSimulatorVideos  10 месяцев назад +2

      I think their goal is for the golfer not coach so for most being able to play courses, practice, have the swing path video etc. They feel like this is enough. Everyone always wants more for less of course :) There will be heavy opinions as always, I just want everyone to understand it all correctly! I’m glad you enjoyed the content and thanks for sharing your thoughts!

      @Nate710 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@GolfSimulatorVideos Completely understand and ultimately it is their choice what they decide to charge and provide... but personally, as a consumer, you don't need to be a coach to improve with club data. I imagine consumers will look elsewhere as $1,100/year is a ton for just the software. Great offering and price point for commercial though.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  10 месяцев назад +2

      @@Nate710 Yeah I find a lot of commercial facilities do like their software and back end booking tools, etc. Obviously the overhead launch monitor choice is a preferred hardware for most commercial setups. It will be interesting to see where both subscriptions go with content. The $1,100 does have the new performance center and motion analysis now so it is good to see that subscribers are getting more and more. The course output is nice, but I think those core features like those new ones are key to a lot of value for sure. I know myself I really do enjoy club data, I just know the average consumer I talk to that really wants access to the Trackman software wanted a lower point of entry, so at least the home does give that path now. I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on anything new coming I hear about. Thanks for watching!

    I want the complete io system. I was really worried that spin axis might still be an issue, and get some incorrect ball flight readings like the TM4 indoors. But from what I gather that issue is fixed with the io?
    Was leaning quad because of that. But if that's fixed the IO might be what I want to go with now. And hopefully angle of attack is added in the future.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  10 месяцев назад +2

      Spin axis is definitely not an issue with iO that is why I thought it would be good to talk about it in the video vs TM4's method. It has infrared so no need for certain light, and it reads the ball backspin and spin axis with the camera like quad, so no calculation needing based on other data. I keep asking about AOA, but nothing yet other than like I was saying they are working on unlocking everything they can. Thanks for watching and asking questions.

    can you start with home and upgrade to complete at a later time if you decide you want more?

  • @Nate710
    @Nate710 9 месяцев назад +1

    Just one thing I don’t think was mentioned… To use the Home Complete I believe you have to buy the complete unit which is $21k vs the $14k standard home option.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  9 месяцев назад +2

      I thought I have been really clear on that. Home vs Complete are much different price points. I guess this has been more detailed in my previous videos though. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  8 месяцев назад +2

      @@wcraig37 it just unlocks data and features in the software. Hardware is identical.

    so to compare the Uneekor Eye XO2 you would have to have the Full version of Trackman iO since the Eye XO2 has all the ball and club data included -- If that correct

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  9 месяцев назад +1

      Correct for club data. Home does include the swing path video but no club data.

  • @steve7080
    @steve7080 10 месяцев назад +4

    $14k + $700/year and no club data? That is a hard pass for me. If it included club data, I would be buying TM IO home this minute.... When I saw your video come up with big IO update I was hoping that was it... personally.. I care much, much less about the 20 more courses than I do about getting club data. Holding out for better options.

    • @Nate710
      @Nate710 10 месяцев назад +2

      Couldn’t agree more. The club data restriction on Home is insulting IMO.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  10 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah it’s not for everyone and definitely a premium price but talking to them that is their plan. It’s sounds like the goal really was to give access to those who just want the software for practice and golf. Then let the the full price stand alone near tm4 pricing. I do find that most buying it are going complete as they just want everything, but those I’ve discussed each with and going home want it just for the software and course play which makes sense if that’s what they value. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

      It's a certainty that you talk to more consumers than I do, but I know a handful of others who are of the same view as I that it is a no-go to drop $14k + $700/year for no club data (and are not willing to drop an additional $7,500 for the same hardware and another $400/year). I'm going to wait for a little while more to see what shakes out of the market, but right now a ForeSight falcon is looking a bit better and I'll just deal with club stickers. GSPro is a great option for that route as far as courses go. Its a shame as the camera on the IO looks incredible and FS doesn't have that impact view, but only having these two Trackman options (home vs. complete) is disappointing. I do appreciate what you do and your channel!

    • @Nate710
      @Nate710 10 месяцев назад

      @@steve7080agreed and it’s a shame Foresight doesn’t have a stickerless option… I bet in a year or two from now they will.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos

      @@steve7080 Yeah don't get me wrong, I am sure there are a lot of people who this is not for. It's an expensive device and software, sorry if I did not explain that all the way. I was more referring to those who were buying it that's all. I mean I talked to tons of people who need to budget under a few thousand and of course some that spend $50k plus on wild custom setups too! :) I think what you are saying shows how everything is unique and it is not only budget but there is a lot of personal preference. Some people end up with various hardware just for software access like GSPRO or Trackman etc. There is so much to decide on outside of budget! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

    Have you tested out the ProTee United VX yet? I’m curious how it compares to other overhead launch monitors, such as Trackman IO, Uneekor Eye XO2, and Foresight Falcon.
    At $6,500 the VX seems like it has all the same features for half the price.

      They told me on like three different occasions they were sending unit to review and it never showed up. They have had a slew of firmware updates. I’m assuming they aren’t ready to have it shown. A lot of users are reporting various things with data results.

    I thought I saw where the club swing reply, which is included with the Home version, only shows up on the practice range. When playing in a group, guys will hit an off shot and then blame the golf simulator. Having the video reply while playing courses would help settle the debate. I’m ready to purchase but this feature is holding me back, along with no integration with TGC2019, E6, or GSPro.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  7 месяцев назад +2

      So regardless of version the club path video is not available for playback in the sim software, at least yet, it sounds like it’s coming. Now if you have complete, you can run a multiple monitor setting to show the show analysis data including club path video, so it is possible just not in the VG2 screen as of now when doing ok course practice or play.

      So they are actually working on both and as someone already mentioned they have next tour now with putting. I think they plan to expand the tournaments to have a variety including 9 and 18 and various modes like putting or auto putt etc. They have p2p online in beta as well! Thanks for watching!
