  • We found a 1988 Lincoln Town car for sale that had been parked for 14 years. We checked the fluids, put a battery in it and drove her home.
in this video we show the before and after walkaround of the vehicle
Its amazing what a bath and detail can do for a car.
** SAVE TONS OF MONEY ON DEAD BATTERIES ** 🪫 🪫=🔋🔋
Learn how to recondition any battery
If you own older classic cars you know better than e anyone that you have to replace dead batteries more often than you would like to.
In the car business I replace a lot of batteries but since I purchased this course, now I’ve been able to save thousands of dollars reconditioning batteries instead of buying new ones.

Check that kickdown cable grommet, if you know these cars then you know it costs $2000 to fix that 2 dollar part. Like the one behind it.

The best driving/riding car EVER. This car floats on the road. Had one back in the 80s and have to be the best car I ever had.

The fuel pump still worked after sitting that long? Did you have to drain old fuel and refill?

I worked for a guy from Japan, and whenever he would come to the states, he would always want to rent a new Lincoln town car. Lotta good memories from those years.

Nice save!!! Ford 302 won't die. Town Cars like the Vics are built to fleet standards for long term, hard work. My 87 was parked in a shed for 6 years before I got it up here and repaired it personally. Just passed the annual safety. Very inexpensive cars, decades of knowledge, lots of life ahead.

Looks like a skilled driver, who was courageous enough to drive it after sitting after 14 years!

Are you kidding? Leave it on. I just purchased one specifically because it had that fake spare tire Continental kit. Back in the 80s I always wanted a town car with that fake spare tire.

For a car to just sit a long long time is extremely bad !!! if it was just sitting, that is. Now if the lady did drive it a little bit, once a month and turn the key sometime so start the engine that would be ok, but if this car was just sitting dead for 14 years then its a good car for parts maybe. My 1988 Town Car Cartier sat for 12 years before i bought it, with a few Rubber part's Changed, mainly coolant hoses, and a Fuel pump, its been driven daily for the last 6 years with not one single Break down, these cars are over built mechanically and take more punishment than most regular car's, Ive owned 3 of these 1980's Town cars, all of them were great cars, i still Drive my 88 Cartier everyday!! Basically if you do Proper maintenance to these cars which i do myself they are cheap to operate, one personal Suggestion is to perform Regular transmission fluid changes every 30,000 Miles, then your prolonging the life of the transmission (The tranny is the weakest Part of these cars!), i highly recommend regular fluid changes on the Brakes and engine oil , to anyone looking to drive one Daily, these cars are like the Energizer Bunny and just keep going!
