A blasphemous prayer about happiness and the abyss, a journey within us mentioning the intricacies I find interesting while leaving out the noise of dogmatism. An imperfect poem that will be forgotten from all minds except the ones that treat humans with the respect a complete being deserves.

Like a prisoner behind bars, you will see her eyes
Trapped beneath the surface of the poem you write,
she shivers
She comes uninvited
and leaves without a warning
Like an optical illusion, she appears and disappears
Like a coincidence only you know how to understand
The feeling she gave you stays
despite the darkness of your heart that tries to erase it
Those who are searching for her
are doomed to never find her
And those who stopped searching,
need her the most
The rest of us stand in-between,
the need to hold her again,
and the need to forget she ever existed
We create prisons of art
and display her proudly to the world,
pretending we are fine without her smile
One day she will escape from the confinement you designed for her
The moment you feel everything around you with the same intensity
as her presence
When you cry and despite the pain
you feel lucky for each gasping breath
When you feel broken
but somehow find the courage to observe the pain of others
She will realize that the canvases,
the melodies,
or anything you put your soul into
cannot fully describe her
She will take that phantom step into the real world
with chains still on her wrists
Just to observe you cry
Just to touch your scars
You will stand on the edge of the abyss
ready to jump
Without saying a word
Like your prisoner
she will approach you, uninvited
and before she leaves without a warning
You will glimpse
that painfully beautiful thing called
happiness

Beneath the surface of the poem you write" - There was no going back once you have heard this. The sheer abstractness of the phrases that followed, painted the chaotic yet complete form of happiness I failed to comprehend once. It's simply beautiful and I wish my words would one day gain strength to name every unnamed emotion within us this way. Thanks for this piece!

I wish I had shown this video to my self a year ago, when I was in deep abyss where everything was engulfing me.
I'm in a better place now, yet I'm still recovering and those battle scars I have, will be a reminder that I too was failure but I triumphed over it at the end.

This is just genuinely one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Changing the world, one heart at a time. I see you going places, brother.
Both as a songwriter & lyricist, this piece of art is inspiring to my music, & to my words. It reminds me to keep calm in times of Stillness, for there is beauty in the tranquility. Although my Heart is telling me to make some noise, for I am a rock singer, the melancholic, sometimes sorrowful calm is bringing me there. You are reminding me, there is a time for it all. A time for peace, and a time for war. A time for safety, and a time for survival. A time for loneliness, and a season for love. A time for quiet & calm, and a time for chaos and noise. A time to Listen, and a time to Speak.
I have wandered through a dark & lonely place these past few years. And while I do not expect anybody reading this to care or take sympathy, I just wish for you to know, dear Creator of this content, that you have had an impact on me, that is in no way negative. You have moved me to the soul, without ever so much as looking me in the eye. It is only my hope that I can do the same, for somebody, someday. It is entirely possible that, the world needs you now, more than ever. Call me naive, and perhaps you do not care, but I see your impact akin to Charles Bukowski, or Robert Frost. Young perhaps, and still finding your power, as all must do through this process of creation. But called by something so incredibly deep, words cannot describe. I am in a state that i am trying to give a definition to "happiness", but your video gave me half of the definition that i am looking for. Sometimes i fell that "happiness" is the most difficult situation/feeling to describe and explain it to others. Maybe is the feeling when we ride the horses in a carousel, or maybe is the feeling we have when we are all alone etc. I do not know but for sure i will keep searching on.

You really inspired me so much with your poems and how you visualize them with your filming process since I first discovered your channel. Roughly a week ago I prepared my first video poem, based on a poem I wrote about my painting process and the feelings I experience in that process (I'm an amateur painter). I used stock clips for the start instead of filming and like, writing the poem, narrating/recording it, finding the ideal soundtrack, finding clips that match the feeling, editing them all together... It really is a challenging process. I knew it was gonna be difficult, but after actually doing it I came to much better appreciate the effort you put in these video poems. Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your stories. You're such an inspiration.
Also guys, I really don't like self-promoting on other people's platforms, so please please don't be mad at me I know it might seem cringe but I'd really appreciate some feedback on my first work in this field. It's in my channel, I'd be thrilled to know what you guys think :')

My only son died in a motorcycle accident and he was 21 years old. He died 2 days before my birthday and he was having an autopsy done on my birthday. My happiness is gone and my world has been destroyed. I am done and I can’t do this anymore! I don’t want too because it’s impossible and the pain is too unbearable. I hurt all over 24/7 and it’s not going to go away. I have zero support and I have no one anymore and no one understands what this grief is like
no one should ever have to go through that, i’m very sorry for your loss.

I work like a maniac, whenever I feel exhausted try to take day off or something.... eventually I get drowned in sorrows and I always curse myself for taking the day off .....

Who wrote this poem? it is pretty bad !!
This will sound mean, and I'm sorry in advance because that's not my goal. But I feel like the content is weaker than the presentation. It feels like obvious comparisons and the subject matter would be more appropriate for an angsty teenager. It lacks depth or courage or both. I know this sounds cruel and i don't mean it to. Technically it's fine, the rhythm of it is good, but it seems like just well-dressed navel-gazing.
I subscribed to this channel after watching a Bukowski poem. It was raw and touching and hurt in a good way. This seems more, I don't know, self-indulgent or a solid imitation of a poem? Sorry, you're not a bad writer, and you're great at putting poems to video representation, but I have to unsubscribe.
