in my experience, because most of their (and woodcraft's clientele) act and woodwork like they are in 3rd grade.
It's a prerequisite skill set. ;-)
I have always heard it pronounced tem- plits. Not tem- plates. Maybe it’s a regional thing.... going to go check my dictionary
