💗🌸💕Incredibly beautiful video Mr Gori! Annie is chewing a plastic bag for breakfast. More evidence of this particular zoo not really paying attention. Lets hope the bag is green recyclable.😮 I think the rope she ate later is also not optimal. 😮 This proves that they need better enrichment activities and more things to do like learning numbers. Beautiful Ai is on edge because of her injuries. 😢 They do play every day but it doesn't look like fighting. 😅 Glad everyone is ok. Nice archival footage!
Thank you for praising the beauty of the video. As for Annie's plastic bag, it seems to have been blown away by the wind. It seems that the veranda has also been informed. We need to be careful. Ai's back injury is gradually improving. (@´・ω・`)_ _)) 🙆🙆♀️🙆♂️🎥🥬🥒🍇

We received a comment about the western lowland gorilla from the official blog of Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, so we are reprinting it here. Full text below ↓ ↓ ↓ Due to the unstable feeding habits of Nene, the western gorilla, viewing of the western gorilla will be suspended for a while from Tuesday, September 10th. We would like to inform you of the reasons for the suspension of viewing. For the past few days, other western gorillas in the group have been observed to be aggressive towards Nene on multiple occasions, which has led to a drop in Nene's feeding habits. In addition, this has affected not only Nene but also other individuals, making the group unstable, so we have decided to suspend viewing in order to prioritize the health of the gorillas. Currently, while ensuring Nene's safety, the zookeepers are carefully managing his health by trial and error, such as feeding him food that catches his interest. As a result, Nene's appetite has returned and he appears to be calmer than before. In the future, we plan to stabilize Nene's feeding habits and resume viewing once the group has settled down. Due to the suspension of gorilla viewing, the indoor viewing passageway of the chimpanzee house will also be closed and viewing of the chimpanzees will only be available in the outdoor exhibit area. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to meeting our gorillas, but we ask for your understanding as our number one priority is managing the health of the gorillas. Assistant Zoo Director, Sahashi <(_ _)>
I remember seeing another video where a female gorilla found some plastic and ate it. The lady who was filming did notify a zookeeper but they were not to concerned. But I think they did keep an eye on her. Don’t know what else happened.

Annie ate not only the plastic, but also some of the unwound rope end. 22:18 Other non-edibles sometimes fall into their enclosure; they play with it (especially Kiyo lying down and balancing it on his chest) but to my knowledge never _eat_ it. 🤢 I'm wondering if Annie is doing this out of boredom or if she's missing something in her diet (known as Pica). I'm leaning more towards boredom. The Gorilla Species Survival Plan (SSP) website has a page showing how to make safe enrichment toys from everyday objects. Regardless of the plastic eating, it'd be nice to see more toys and puzzles. Especially for Annie - maybe she'll not taunt Nene as much as she'll be occupied with other things. 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for your comment 😊📝 I also find some of your comments helpful. I understand that Annie's playing with plastic is caused by stress and that she needs to change her environment and play. I will talk to Higashiyama Zoo about this if I have the chance.
I love to watch gorillas more than just about anything else! Humans can learn alot from them! Like how to protect your family and keep an eye out for each other. I LOVE gorillas!! ❤️❤️🕊❤️❤️
