One thing I admire about Mr. Phillips is that he is always completely, 100% honest and forthright in his interviews. He's definitely a company man, towing the Tama line, but he's as quick to point out the shortcomings of his kit as well as the pros. I would love the opportunity to sit down and pick his brain on playing, overplaying, and nuances of gear selection.
I have to agree with ya. They do cut in the higher toms in any acrylic kit. Personally i want the dw's. Basically for the name and i love the lugs of the dw's. But these sound super cool. Ultimately id love a Ludwig but they are way to pricey
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Colin Niko I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
People supplying opinions on acrylic drums are quite subjective. They are going to mean/ sound different depending on stage, room, mics, etc... Putting coated heads on acrylic will drastically change the sound game as well.
+superchanneljim LOL, just like (almost) any kit. I play an old set of Rockstar DXs. The only kit I have ever had. Played them for years and have gotten nothing but compliments on their sound... because I know what heads work with them and most importantly, how to tune them.

The last person I thought that would go to a Blue Man Group show is Simon Phillips

The only other guy I know that used this kit is Dominic Howard of Muse.
