Great review CDL 👍. I like that it had a place for a laptop sleeve, (perfect for a commuter bag to/from work) but then was like darn no rain cover or waterproof 😕

I have not used a waste strap since the 2nd grade. That is a great point about those mesh inside bockets. I reall like zippers and compartments. if its not waterproff, It couldnt be used to take a laptop to and from work. Great review.

I would have to add a waterproof cover for that.

I have this exact bag. I mainly use it for commuting to work. My work laptop barely fits into the sleeve and it makes that first pocket pretty small once its in there. Honestly there's not a lot of space in there after I play tetris with my lunch stuff, 2 nalgene bottles and a pair of regular jeans. I permanently keep the straps in that back pocket and carry it by the handle, but the handle is really small which seems like an easy thing they could've fixed. It also carries a full IFAK on the molle webbing with the sun glasses holder and a tourniquet though.

Viking does a good job for the most part. Although the name is kinda deceiving as they do way more than bags

Hard to beat the HD bags for this same purpose

Funny, the waist strap on my Viking DAGR Medium bag isn't too tight - and I'm not exactly thin, either. That just seems like an odd choice on Viking's part.
    Nice-looking bag, otherwise!
