I'm Team Shayanna. Having experienced a serious long term relationship with a professional athlete with a huge ego, I understand her frustration. Everyone treats the professional athlete as a god. But Shayanna knows him behind close doors. In the beginning, you're attracted to the confidence, strength, the sexy moves on the field...but that wears off, and when you're no longer impressed with them, they gaslight you into twisting things into making you think you don't care🙄
I was also in a long term relationship and I agree with the trauma of dealing with the God-complex, while also dealing with the very delicate ego tied to the fact that their whole identity is tied to being a great performing athlete who gets injured or in his case incarcerated and loses the fame, but doesn’t want to stop the lifestyle of women, attention and bling bling, but maybe the money is dried up and the body isn’t able to fully do what it used to. With that being said, she was still really mean to him on these calls. I like this call because she’s acknowledging why she is mean, but some of these calls she is so demoralizing. He was to her in a different way.

I listened to a podcast about him and he really struggled all throughout school. He had ADHD but his parents never got medication or help from him. He graduated from high school early, not bc his grades were good...the college coaches wanted him to start early so they pushed him along when he wasn't academically ready. I listened to a podcast about him and he really struggled all throughout school. He had ADHD but his parents never got medication or help from him. He graduated from high school early, not bc his grades were good...the college coaches wanted him to start early so they pushed him along when he wasn't academically ready.
