They need 2 find a cure for CTE. I would like to donate to find a cure for this disease. I have played football and I have been in many street brawls. I had a rough childhood and I think that CTE is easier to develop in people who are suffering from depression or trauma to begin with just like Aaron. We need to help our youth. Our young brothers who come from rough lives are trying to better their lives pursuing an NFL career could be the ones more at risk for CTE.
Soul crushing. Both amazingly handsome young men... beaten, abused and torn.. dreams that were attainable and reached.. But not only did it set off an avalanche of extremely sad circumstances selfishly started out by their own parents, their flesh and blood that it cost Aaron in this case his life, literally.. Much love to you Jonathan.
@@joshuaa1605 I wasn't saying aaron was the victim in Odin Lloyd's situation or in the death with those two men. What I was saying was aaron was a victim of his own childhood and obviously those demons from abuse neglect and molestation followed him into adulthood. Unless u been through that u won't understand. Believe me it messes up your life and for the rest of your life.
What an intelligent, well spoken, sweet and loving young man! Look how much love he has for his brother! And for others! How did he end up like this coming from that broken home? This is such a sad case. Didn't Aaron get any hekp while he was struggling? The trainers and the school should've helped him before it was to late. He had it all. The money, the career, the beautiful girl and even a baby. Yet he could not cut ties with those people that was bad for him. He kept on being a gangster. It's not easy to understand what went on in his mind.
My heart goes out to this brother. Bama Realist thank you for not forgetting the victims because the victims are getting lost in this story, it's almost like they are not rated as valuable,I know that Aaron was a celebrity football player, but we are not giving the victims any real thought, I'm just hearing about Aaron mostly.
jonathan seems like a great guy. my heart breaks for him. it's interesting how two people in the same situation can end up so different, or at the very least expressing their pain in such different ways.
His brother...Jonathan and Aaron, both of them are very handsome Italian men. It's hard to not cry about this. I feel bad for these 2 men...I dont know what is the truth. But I fell bad for both these men...They really cared for one another...
He said a lot with " The message you receive from your parents ", so true how many things a kid keeps from their parent. Not all them, but some kids don't have that, out of fear, and THE WORDS, they may say.
A big part of mental health in people is family dynamics. From my own therapy sessions I'm exploring how your parents behavior influences you in not a positive way
Ana Chocolate I watched it just because I grew up watching Aaron play at college and with the pats and I haven’t finished it because it seemed like crap
My heart is breaking for everyone involved the deaths the murder the beatings while growing up. The pain this has caused both families. I am sorry and my heart hurts for both families.
Such a awful, awful story. He had so much pain inside. You can definitely hear it in the recording phone calls with his mom. His dad was a monster!!! Lord Jesus bless his soul now. I hope he asked for forgiveness, repented.🙏🏻😢❣️
His mother was a very mean person. You can tell just by the nature of her phone calls. Demanding that she give him $1 million? Why? Because HE earned it? And his father, from all indications it sounds like he was sexually abused by his father. He came from a dysfunctional family and it appeared his only way out from that family was to play football, and he was blessed to have that talent, even though it came close to killing him, if not killing him in the end with all of the hits he took. Even tho no longer on this Earth, he is pain free and does not have to deal with his internal hell. The saddest and innocent is his pretty young daughter and fiancée’, who I believe dearly loved him. May he Rest In Peace and all of his demons are gone.
His dad was a double edged sword...if his dad hadn't died when he did, Aaron would've probably stood a chance in life. His dad kept him in line and helped to push his football career. Unfortunately, some people don't have it all and there was a form of abuse from his dad to get him in line. Aaron still loved him and took it badly when he passed.
Aaron moving out of his mother's home & into his cousin Tanya's home = moving out of the frying pan into the fire. Can't help but wonder if Tanya's major contribution to Aaron's demise was revenge for the mother having an affair with her husband.
I don’t care what anyone says, I feel like Aaron killed because of his brain injury. He didn’t think rationally as he would have if he didn’t have his brain tossed around in his scull for years. He had too much to lose Sorry!!! R.I.P AARON 😢💔🙏🏽💯
I think those thugs he associated with killed in his presence and left him to hold the bag because they knew his brain wasn't right. To later extort him.
@John Edwards let's not pretend that his once close thug friend didnt try to extort him for money and have another shooting altercation after Aarons death. There were always multiple "thugs"around during the deaths who of which could have been the actual shooters in the killings. Yes, Aaron was present when it happened. That would cause a real situation for everyone around especially the person whose car it was done in. If someone killed someone while in your vehicle what would you do? Aaron was the weaker one when it came to the "real" street thugs he associated with. Just think about it for a second .
@@lemj-7478 the NFL has set aside billions of dollars for head injuries they started this a couple years ago to. Pay for long term treatment on all levels also to make better helmets so they protect the brain etc
Damn, I didn't know the dad was abusive. I had heard he was domineering like Dr. Oz said, but he sounds like a cruel bastard. Clearly the children deeply suffered because of this abuse. I'm impressed by Aaron's brother, he's very well spoken and seems like a nice normal guy. He's clearly still devastated by his little brothers death, poor thing it's so sad to see him cry :( I cant even imagine
Jonathan Hernandez, I want to thank you for this interview. You are a beautiful human being. I wish I could meet you, hug you and let you know God is and will be with you. Please look towards him. I do blame the mother and the CTE. I know Aaron made some wrong decisions but still he did not deserve to die or this fate. Jonathan, we love both you and Aaron. I hope you know our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Thank you for this interview and your book.
Wonder why we feel the need to judge other's private lives. I'm a heterosexual woman and the only person I'd be interested in knowing that information about would be a romantic interest.
When I was growing up!!! I was whipped with a belt that left welts on my back because my brother and I were arguing in the pool. I was slapped in the face when 15 by my mother. I was chocked because I was watching TV and my brother wanted the remote control and I was hit with a bat in my stomach by my brother (have no clue why). I went through abuse and none of them acknowledged this.
Yo these guys are so troubled. Jonathan was arrested for planning a mass shooting at my alma mater, UCONN!!!!😢😢😢😢😢 He seemed like such a nice guy!!!! What happened?!?!
money, drugs, associates , NFL life and thuggery played a part too...he's not the victim... many people live with less money n fame and don't kill people.
You can see the pain in his eyes about his brother. My prayers are with him and his fiance and daughter they truely miss him.I think it was the dad's abuse him keeping in his sexuality and then the extreme case of cte combine those two major factors it's no shock on what happened what th a.h.
God bless Aaron, May he Rest In Peace. And blessings to his family & loved ones who are left behind to go on. I hope that they know that Aaron is with them & he tries to communicate with them (girlfriend, mother & brother) to let them know he’s still there...and his daughter sees him. She may not know how to relate this, at her age, but her daddy visits her often. Much love, Shelbie =)❤️

Of course his brother is going to defend him, blood is thicker remember. There's video evidence , a rental car in his name with a shell casing, his gf being told where the murder weapon is and shown on camera getting rid of it. He did it and the fact all add up.
Yeah, but there were two other people with him, so there's a possibility he wasn't the one that pulled the trigger, I think that's what the brother believes.
Playing football from youth through adulthood probably could cause the type of damage that Aaron presented...Think about the years of injuries during development
Uh maybe because the dude he was with that night in his suv is a gunner?!! Homie he was with is seen on video shooting up a bar!! Never seen Aaron with videos like that!!!
Lost souls need guidance and understanding and when parents set these unrealistic and often times unattainable expectations they want us to attain does nothing but harbor a internal resentment inside that causes the opposite of what the parents think they are doing. This story is tragic from start to finish. Aaron Hernandez was an extremely talented athlete yes but he was also a lost boy who had no where near the amount of time the journey of a boy becoming a man takes. I pray for peace for his family, much love
Unless u were in the same situation its it's hard to comprehend. After awhile the abuse becomes normal to a child. I understand well the anger inside Aaron. It is learned behavior. That's what he learned as child. He held that anger in and it came out. THE BRUISES WILL HEAL BUT THE SCARS WILL LAST A LIFETIME.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has claimed that C.T.E doesn't exist. He needs to do the NFL a favor and retire.
Michael Lovely that’s straight up bs smh...
My heart is hurting just hearing this man speak his truth....Wow....What a strong young man ❤️🙏🏻
Soul crushing.
Aaron was a victim as well. But the real victim's in all this were lloyd and those two men. People seem to forget.
blue bella exactly my point
THANK YOU
Aaron was not a victim...but I see this bullshit documentary propaganda is actually making people believe it lol crazy
@@miabella9471 like I said the documentary clearly worked in making aaron a victim lol
Leo O he’s a liar. And his lies hurt the family of the victims
My heart is hurting for this man.
Louix Griego he’s a liar
So sorry for your loss, DJ❣️ Wish you peace of mind and happiness in life!
I feel so sorry for him and what he went through
My heart goes out to this brother. Anyone who’s experienced being raised by a father who disciplines like a Tyrant instead of in a godly
Nurturing way(Eph 6:4) can relate to his pain-Add to that the Loss of a brother & a mother who has her own issues. I don’t condone
The Tragic Loss of the man who was murdered. God knows who’s responsible even if the Legal system fails. Praying healing for ALL the families🙏🏽
Hernandez brothers we’re both beautiful men. I’ve watched the trials from start to finish
Thanks!
Jonathan, May God continue to bless you. You must remain very strong.
Despite how the Aaron Hernandez story went downhill, my sincere condolences, & my sincere condolences for Odin’s & the others’ lives lost in this case also. It’s also good to see that not everyone sells their souls for 🤑👍, over things they don’t even agree with; glad he turned down the Netflix money.
Bama Realist thank you for not forgetting the victims because the victims are getting lost in this story, it's almost like they are not rated as valuable,I know that Aaron was a celebrity football player, but we are not giving the victims any real thought, I'm just hearing about Aaron mostly.
Absolutely 🕊
OMG! These RUclips commercials!! Dr.Oz, you done make enough??? Lol
Huh

Just skip to the end and hit replay. No ads.
jonathan seems like a great guy. my heart breaks for him. it's interesting how two people in the same situation can end up so different, or at the very least expressing their pain in such different ways.
This comment didn't age well lol. He plotted to shoot up Uconn.
@@riotpb10 damn. this family, man...
Aweee this man loved his brother and I think his family stood away from courts because of pain
I'm so sorry for his brother and family. It is all so sad. I wish them all strength.
His brother...Jonathan and Aaron, both of them are very handsome Italian men. It's hard to not cry about this. I feel bad for these 2 men...I dont know what is the truth. But I fell bad for both these men...They really cared for one another...
God bless Aaron and his brother! Aaron you are saving lots of lives even though your not here!
He said a lot with " The message you receive from your parents ", so true how many things a kid keeps from their parent. Not all them, but some kids don't have that, out of fear, and THE WORDS, they may say.
A big part of mental health in people is family dynamics. From my own therapy sessions I'm exploring how your parents behavior influences you in not a positive way
This is just so sad for all the families involved, and the Netflix doc was so superficial.
Ana Chocolate I watched it just because I grew up watching Aaron play at college and with the pats and I haven’t finished it because it seemed like crap
Damn. We love you man. Our prayers are with you.
My heart breaks for this man..
This is heart breaking, bless him❤️
My heart goes out to him💔Rest In Paradise Aaron 🌹🕊️🌹🕊️🌹
My heart is breaking for everyone involved the deaths the murder the beatings while growing up. The pain this has caused both families. I am sorry and my heart hurts for both families.
I like how the Dr Oz audience is so respectful
I wish I could give him the biggest hug in the world.
I hope this family can get some peace soon.
Such a awful, awful story. He had so much pain inside. You can definitely hear it in the recording phone calls with his mom. His dad was a monster!!! Lord Jesus bless his soul now. I hope he asked for forgiveness, repented.🙏🏻😢❣️
I agree that this is an awful and unfortunate story, I'm also not justifying family problems, but the mom and dad aren't the reason for the murders.
@@jenniferhaynes8625 Agree. Being abused as a child is *no* excuse for at least 4 homicides & 3 non-fatal shootings!
GOODBYE. He didn’t kill because he has a brain injury, he killed because he WANTED to.
No one can know. Tragedy follows a damaged brain. That we do know.
I'm a heterosexual woman and the only person I'd be interested in knowing that information about would be a romantic interest.
thanks for letting us know you are a heterosexual female. very useful information.
And he was a down low man no comparison
Annmarie Bailey Sabel Sabel where are you from? 😆
Omg let the guy and his family rest!
he is a creep, rot in hell arron
How is this the full interview? Where's the rest of it?
Why can't an interview be 15 mins long?
This is not dr Phil the show has segments lol
It’s 15 minutes lol it’s just minus the adds
When I was growing up!!!
I was whipped with a belt that left welts on my back because my brother and I were arguing in the pool.
I was slapped in the face when 15 by my mother.
I was chocked because I was watching TV and my brother wanted the remote control and I was hit with a bat in my stomach by my brother (have no clue why).
I went through abuse and none of them acknowledged this.
Love you for speaking up.
Yo these guys are so troubled. Jonathan was arrested for planning a mass shooting at my alma mater, UCONN!!!!😢😢😢😢😢 He seemed like such a nice guy!!!! What happened?!?!
God bless you Dj...🙏🙏😔😔

Such a intelligent and strong man u r👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The Brother has a full of love ❤️
God Bless this man 🙏❤
I really like this guy. You can tell he loves his brother.
These brothers, their story reminds me of Lyle & Erik Menendez story !
I wish we would discuss the victims in this case more often. I’m sorry Aaron went through so much but he did kill someone’s son and brother.
money, drugs, associates , NFL life and thuggery played a part too...he's not the victim... many people live with less money n fame and don't kill people.
You can see the pain in his eyes about his brother. My prayers are with him and his fiance and daughter they truely miss him.I think it was the dad's abuse him keeping in his sexuality and then the extreme case of cte combine those two major factors it's no shock on what happened what th a.h.
Omg his brother is clearly in pain
His book I would love to read
God bless Aaron, May he Rest In Peace. And blessings to his family & loved ones who are left behind to go on. I hope that they know that Aaron is with them & he tries to communicate with them (girlfriend, mother & brother) to let them know he’s still there...and his daughter sees him. She may not know how to relate this, at her age, but her daddy visits her often. Much love, Shelbie =)❤️
What about God blessing Odin and his family and the other two victims and their families you people are sick
Omg I get it I sure get what he is talking about I feel so bad for Aarón and his brother I feel for them
Why bruh? Daddies can b like dat
A flower made die the sunset but a friend like you I'll never forget your name is so precious it's always never grow old it's in greeting in your daughter's heart In letters of gold rest peace Aaron Hernandez REST IN PEACE
@@PB-qe6ce that's always a possibility, it's anyone's guess
It was never proven who actually pulled the trigger.
@@PB-qe6ce it was personal so trust & believe, Aaron pulled it
Playing football from youth through adulthood probably could cause the type of damage that Aaron presented...Think about the years of injuries during development

Duh! That's his brother, naturally he's going to defend him!!🙄
Chrysi Chrysi of course! It would be strange if he didn’t!

Jonathan seems like a great and thoughtful dude.
Wonder why his brother thinks he was hiding the silver suv in his cousin's garage if he was innocent ?
Was thinking exact same thing...I have no idea why Dr. Oz is doing an interview if he can't even speak the facts?
Denial.
Uh maybe because the dude he was with that night in his suv is a gunner?!! Homie he was with is seen on video shooting up a bar!! Never seen Aaron with videos like that!!!
Roscko 562 so why wouldn’t he tell buddy he had to hide the car
Good question
I hear ya bro. Speak upon him with grace
6:26 I felt that.
The brother genuine
I don’t understand at one point he said his Dad beat them...but then said they were close knit family.
They found love in the hurting and the trauma. Toxic in every aspect. He can only express what he knows.
"Toxic people can actually love you very much": Shallon Lester.
It's good to be aware of this psychological principle in order to not normalize it.
Aaron says it himself how he was a happy kid
Unless u were in the same situation its it's hard to comprehend. After awhile the abuse becomes normal to a child. I understand well the anger inside Aaron. It is learned behavior. That's what he learned as child. He held that anger in and it came out. THE BRUISES WILL HEAL BUT THE SCARS WILL LAST A LIFETIME.
The father was gay/bi too and hated himself for it. Homophobia exclusively exists due to those in the closet with shame. This is well documented.
Sean that’s not true I kind of homophobic person and i am very sure I am not gay....it’s just that I am so straight that I can’t imagine two person the same sex having a relationship...it’s the way my brain is wired and I am in no way a religion person..
natalie dell , I’ve never met a legitimately straight person that hated a gay person just for for the sake of it. If you google homophobic gay, you’ll see the scientific studies. I thought this was well known. Did you see the movie American Beauty? Same as what happened here.
Some people hate what they can't understand.
I guess i was wired differently...When i see 2 people of the same sex, holding hands, kissing, that shows me that they are LUCKY IN LOVE....Im not grossed out by it at all, what grosses me out are seeing 2 str8 peeps kissing and wanting attention from it, GET A ROOM lol...

That was a good one.
OMG This poor dear man is suffering. My sister committed suicide after a brain injury. She became hostile. That was 30 years ago. The pain is unbearable still at times it’s always there
His parents are to blame
You can’t blame other people for your actions
Yeah I wanted to hear more the brothers thoughts to.
