I’m from England, at the time we were told Kate wouldn’t be returning to public duty until after Easter. Easter hasn’t happened yet. We’re not worried, she’s recuperating and will be back when she’s fit and ready.

I had the Whipple procedure, for pancreatic cancer, 10 years ago. I was in the hospital 2.5 weeks. Although it’s a very, very serious surgery for cancer, it is also done for non cancerous situations. When they said she was having abdominal surgery and in the hospital for 2 weeks, I immediately thought about my surgery. As one other commenter said, it could also be that she had something like a hysterectomy and it was radical. I think that because of her position, the doctors just wanted to keep her well rested and under direct medical supervision.
My recovery was 6 months before going to church and such. I didn’t have strength to even have a job teaching until 2 years afterwards.

I've recovered from many surgeries. You have to RECOVER from the recovery sometimes. Being forced to lay around, feeling awful, taking all kinds of meds that can make you feel awful, etc etc it affects your physical and mental health.
So true!! I had surgery with a 2 week recovery time, I had a bad reaction to coming off the anesthesia so it took me a few weeks to recover from the effects of that.

Took me 5 months after cervical surgery,, cur through my throat, wearing a metal cage on my head 24/7 allowed off 10 mins per day for shower. If I had to appear in public soon after, I'd have jumped off a building first !

My mom had an abdominal surgery called a hipec surgery. She was in the hospital for 10 to 14 days and months of downtime afterwards. It doesn't seem so crazy for her to be unseen if something like this is going on.

I had an unexpected, unplanned abdominal surgery in Jan of 2022 due to a kink in my small intestine that I didn’t know existed til the day I went to the ER and ended up being admitted on the spot. I was hospitalized for 10 days and on bed rest for 8 weeks. I should also mention that I’ve had two c sections and was home from both within 36hrs of delivery. This particular abdominal surgery was on a totally different level, therefore I totally see a world where this is all legitimate. Praying for a healthy recovery for her!

I've had major abdominal surgery- twice. It takes months to get back to normal and even be able to move around and walk well. I wish Princess Catherine well and Can't wait to see her around Easter as the Palace said to everyone.

I concur! I had DIEP Flap surgery for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy which involved a tummy tuck and I couldn’t stand up straight for almost 3 months! My back was in excruciating pain. As much as I tried to stand straight and walk, my body wasn’t having it. Then one day after almost 3 months, my body snapped out of it and I felt so much better! Not quit 100%, but at least I could go for walks without feeling like I was going to pass out. People, especially the media, need to leave her alone and let her go through whatever she’s going through.

I watch all of your videos and do really enjoy them, but this was a massively insensitive post. She had already informed people that she was having surgery, so anyone with half a brain cell would assume she was in recovery. Unfortunately, it has been reported that she is suffering cancer and was receiving treatment for this, hence not being in the public eye - not that this is anyone's business. I hope this video can now be removed and in the future further research and caution is applied to the making of such stories.

I had seven surgeries within a 5-year period. You definitely need to recover from the actual surgery but then you also have to recover from recovering, meaning you've been laying around taking a lot of medications and you need to get your body up and going again. I'm sure she's fine

I have no idea why, but I have adored Kate Middleton since before she married Will. She just seems nice and I also like her style a lot. I'm a little worried about her, not even so much because she's "missing" but because her surgery seems really serious. I also have had serious surgeries including a c-section. I had to have a tumor removed from an organ (benign tumor) and that was only two night stay. Her hospital stay sounded long to me. She's a couple years younger than me and I think that's a long hospital stay for people our age. I hope she's doing okay and recovering.

Christina, I really love your videos usually but I think the appropriate thing to do with this one is take it down. The woman is in treatment for cancer, and even before she was forced to tell everyone that because of these awful conspiracy theories, people seem to have forgotten what the media did to her husband's mother. I had a radical hysterectomy (cancer) when I was 28. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. It's not uncommon. Abdominal surgery, for some, is not a walk in the park. Let the Lady heal in peace and privacy.
That must’ve been a very long time ago because even with cancer you are not and I repeat, not going to be in the hospital for three weeks
@@helenmchugh4632 It was in 1984 or 85. I also had 18 lymph nodes removed and was hooked up to a machine to extract the extra fluid that lymph nodes usually take care of. Every individual situation is different. It's not a cookie cutter surgery.
when i was kid my appendix did burst i was in icu like a month with temporal colostomy bag just to wait when all that peritonitis mess comes out you can actually remove actual appendix bc cocooning effect you cant remove it from the start and then i got out and after that i didnt go school in that school year to recover colostomy bag scar etc basically it did burst in februrary and i got out in late march , i went back to school in september basically for next grade

My friend had revision surgery on his already amputated leg last year and was in the hospital all throughout Thanksging, Christmas, and New Year. Then put in a recovery facility ever since. He is no worse than he was before but they just wanted him to have physical therapy.
Absolutely! My family member had surgery for endometriosis ( it was a keyhole surgery )went smoothly and even so she was in hospital almost a week. I'm sure a more invasive abdominal surgery would make one stay far longer, especially a royal!

I had open abdominal surgery in 2021 and was in the hospital for 10 days. I lost a ton of weight and took almost 4 months before I felt normal and was able to start gaining it back. It's really not that shocking for her to be gone for this long.
Also Catherine must do homework on preparing and preparing on day of the appearance. She is immaculate in her public appearance

The palace had stated before her surgery she wouldn’t be making any appearances until after Easter which isn’t until March 31. Maybe she had a tummy tuck and doesn’t want people to know. If I didn't know I certainly would not be able to tell that she's had 3 kids. I know that people are often their own worst critics though, and sometimes have unnecessary plastic surgeries. It could be anything, and hopefully she's ok. On a different channel there was footage of her being brought to the hospital at night on December 28th by ambulance. That's the reason why I don't believe it was a planned surgery myself. Normally an ambulance is not used to bring somebody to the hospital for a planned surgery. But who knows 🤷🏻♀️

I completely understand privacy, and she is entitled. I had an Sigmoidectomy surgery December 2022, and I am still recovering. The recovery has been very hard on my body. I hope what ever “surgery” she has had, that she gives your body the time it needs to heal.
What kind of surgery is that may I ask? Iv had 1/4 of my large intestine taken out...gallbladder. appendix..lymph nodes...and overies...3 diff surgeries in a few months. Took about 4weeks to heal

@@desireecollett1071 Abdominal surgery can take 10+ days in the hospital and 3+ months at home recovering which is what they told us when she went in to have the surgery.
I had JPouch surgery in 2010 for Ulcerative Colitis, it was a 3 part surgery. I was in the hospital for three weeks for the first surgery and one week was spent in ICU. I did not leave my house for almost 6 months unless it was absolutely necessary. It was an extremely difficult illness and surgery to recover from.
My husband just had this same surgery in January 2023 and was out of work 4 months.
I just told a friend I am tired of hearing about this and the media hoopla. Then you post this and I clicked so fast 😅 best wishes and speedy recovery for Kate 🙏🙏

This isn't the first time the princess has been absent from public duty, she had 3 very difficult pregnancies and had to take time off. The princess is entitled to her privacy and if this surgery had any connection to the issues she had during those pregnancies then she could not only be healing medically but also emotionally. We have been told from the start that the princess would be out of the public eye until Easter, and I think we should respect that. Once the princess is well she will return to duty, with the grace she has always shown. I wish her well.

I wouldn't be at all surprised by surgery for or related to endometriosis. My last one lasted 4.5 hours, I was in the hospital over a week and didn't return to work until 16 weeks later. My job is much easier than her's too.

FYI: They RF pay taxes too.
In 1992 QEII stated that the Crown will start paying income tax and capital gains tax on their personal income....and they have ever since.
The only thing given to the RF by the taxpayer is the Sovereign Grant which was established in 2012 which replaced the "Civil List" when tax payers did pay their salary. The Sovereign Grant pays the equivalent of 129 pounds per head of capita per year. It is for covering expenses of working royals when on Royal and state duties. No personal cash.
