Oh yea I just read an article on your website about cooking oils. What a wealth of information. I did not know about the burning or heating points with certain oils and the different health benefits and risks as well. It made me research even further yesterday.
That also sounds good also beef bacon or chicken bacon withon toast.. Thanks sounds good for dinner. Tomorrow however I need to go shopping for eggs and bacon. I always run out of something.

Her bran muffin recipe looks pretty good. All my life, I have made bran muffins with Nabisco, and then Post, 100% bran cereal, until they took it off the market in 2007!! It was made with prune and fig extract, and made the most delicious muffins. All other brands of bran cereal on the market tastes like tree bark.
I buy bran flakes cereal at Aldi to use in my muffins. It does have some sweetening, and I run it in my food processor to break it down, similar to crushed corn flakes. Long ago, Allie Lewis on Everyday Food made a simple fig jam that turned out well for me.

Bran muffins: Try substituting crushed pineapple for some of the liquid or.....add orange zest.....mmmmm then...take a leftover muffin, cut in half, butter it and toast that side in a skillet...wow..
I buy golden raisins and bran cereal at Aldi which I crush into a near powder in food chopper. I have some boxes of white, golden and carrot cake mixes to use as the flour and baking powder base. Have been making two breakfast servings every other night since last month and I must say they are better tasting and more satisfying than the powdered mini doughnuts I used to eat. Eggs are not necessary for a well-textured muffin--I tend to look more and more to vegan baking recipes and modify them to suit my taste and needs.
Hello Esther! Ideally you'll want to find the plums when they are in season for the area you're in! They shouldn't be overly ripe nor not ripe enough (too hard) either!

Anna: Coffee Cake was something that was made for guests, very popular in the 1950's and early 60's. Something easy to make and have with coffee ;)
