@@raja-jl9os I completely agree... Good performances and good writing can make an average or below average movie look like a masterpiece.. I would also like to add the demand of the audience... If an artist understands the demand of the audience and the taste and goes with time flow.. he or she movies can do wonders.. Take SRK or Ranbir as examples .. when romance was in Demand, SRK became a trend setter and There was a time when Ranbir was known for coming of the age drama.. when we imagine a young adult who is passionate about something but is stuck in a 9-5 corporate job and later breaks all barriers to pursue his passion... We think of Ranbir... But now, both are emerging as total action heroes and their movies are also doing wonders.. The same is what Salman Khan did back in 2009... I remember he came back with the banger Wanted followed by a romance Mr and Mrs Khanna and a periodic action Veer.. but his next blockbuster was Dabbang.. an action movie very similar to wanted..

The genuineness, research and a comprehensive vision meets top tier conviction inspite of the budgetary constraints through smart and well thought out execution, by selective and wise prioritization of resources to focus on the important stuff and get the best output possible through smart work... This is what Prashanth Varma has achieved .. !! I was clearly able to see some shortcomings, compromises in visual department here and there (I'm nitpicking), but even while noticing those being aware of those that didn't matter as the screenplay cinematography were so well executed that movie captivated my mind throughout. I clearly observed some clever tricks used by Prashant Varma through camera work, lighting, stylistic choices, etc.. to hide the shortcomings of VFX but it never affected the viewing experience. The director brilliantly managed to make those things absolutely stunning, which are important for the experience to look and rest of the focus in on world building, characters, story, writing , screenplay and cinematography. This prioritization some how struck the balance of perfectionism of visuals to vs optimal use of budget to extract maximum out of it. What an effort!! What an experience it gave...! And it's commendable how the director managed it all in 25 cr budget. It's actually unbelievably great effort and it shows on the screen I'm happy I watched it during premiere when the new movies didn't take up the screens for this.
This is probably a VASTLY overlooked aspect of most Indian movies nowadays, but I always look for a movie that I can show to my young kids. So, when makers attempt movies like this, people like me are game to watch these movies in theaters. I always rued the lack of good kids movies in India in the recent times, when the US built a whole business empire by catering to only kids. Film makers in India are always looking for ways to bring audiences back into theatres.... Hello! Make more kid friendly movies for younger kids . Parents are constantly trying to engage their kids outside the school, there would be better footfalls in movie theaters, especially multiplexes.
The moment I heard about GK, my instincts told me that it could be a surprisingly underperforming film.my question is, is it worth watching? Or similar to sarkaaru vaari paata and others?@@suryabhaicr7

I watched Hanuman and think the money I wasted on Adipurush was recovered by this movie. This has everything I anticipated to be in Adipurush. Simple, Sweet, Organic....The producers made and accurate use of CGI, even though it was not at the level of 100 crore budget, but it is digestible to the point that you are engrossed in the movie's story line and not only the CGI. The animated bits of meeting of Shri Hanuman and Hanumant are the best !! My rating - 9/10

Watched it last night (the movie released in the USA on Jan 11th itself) and loved every scene of it (even though I watched the Telugu version and had to constantly rely on the English subtitles to understand the dialogues)! Such a beautiful film with its heart in the right place. Except a few scenes, as you pointed out in your review, I was hard-pressed to find any flaws whatsoever in the movie. The characters, the world, the mythos, screenplay, imagery...everything was on point. Not for a second did anything feel lacking, forced or cringy. The director's conviction showed all throughout, and I kept imagining what he could do with a better budget, better action choreography and better VFX - things I am sure he will have access to in his future movies after this one!

For me gods and goddesses films in telugu industry peaked at ammoru, no filmm can give me the kind of goosebumps ammoru gives.
Luck that I was born in lates 80’s in that era , I am seeing the world changes in front of my eyes .
Jay Hanuman, I am definitely going to watch it with my family. With the very low budget of 25 crores he made this hat's off to the Prashant Verma. He needs our support for his next project connected to this movie. 😊❤
Once a Legend said 'please keep one seat for Hanumanji to watch the movie' and now we finally know why!!!😅😂
I loved the entry of Bajrangbali, the level of power, speed, strength and size he poses is perfectly shown. That sonic boom, shattering of entire mountain, fire at his hand due to that immense speed and the best part only sadhu sant noticed him, no any common people like us seen him flying, I will say it was the perfect portrayal of Hanuman ji❤❤❤

Prashant Varma has got a lot of potential his previous work “AWE” movie is very unique and exciting too….he us a breath of fresh air among routine commercial templates .
It's a sweet movie... watched it because of my niece and nephew, really loved it. Its execution is exactly like how i imagined in my childhood years after watching superhero movies how badly i used to crave for a Indian superhero movie... thinking we have so much potential...why nobody is doing it.
Thankyou Telugu cinemas....
A small regional movie just showed how you can make wonderful movies without crossing 100Cr ( like Kantara did).
Hope Bollywood learns some lessons if it has not already from Adipurush misadventure.
Hope to see more movies like

I guess even mythical epics need a touch of global glamour!
Bollywood makes adipurush
Tollywood makes bahubali simple 😂
Tollywood knows the money value bro
Old telugu movies from 1950s and 1960s based on our Puranas and starring stalwarts like NTR, SVR, etc were very well made. They covered almost all stories and characters. I wish someone remade those movies with the current technology and VFX we have now (though we do not have actors of the same caliber).
Really Happy that this movie actually worked. I have been rooting for this movie since its Teaser. Much needed movie after Adipurush effect
Finally a movie with underwhelming aspects first. Hanuman and karna have special connection with people of India, shown as supporting entities in tales for there sides but far more powerful for just supporting entities. Only a plot armour can weaken them against main leads

Also What an unusual Pongal and Sankranti in 2024! All the releases have positive reviews/word of mouth. The only sad part is that the true potential of each of the releases will not be achieved financially due to many releases. Let's try to support good content and may every movie find its audience. The true underdog was Hanu-Man
A really good review. You have been a lot netpicking but over the period of listening to all ur reviews you have started acknowledging the effort that goes into making a movie. RESPECT for your reviews. Thank you
Dude, if you really want to understand Telugu movies, I really siggest Mayabazaar and Bhookailas and Sri Sitaramaulakalyanam... Some of the greatest stories told technically and artistically showing the lost glory of Telugu Cinema
Grander doesn't mean better.. I have given a thought.. If bollywood makes a movie with underrated actors, writers, directors and the whole crew and make a movie in a safe budget.. They can do wonders
genre and high concept doesn't matter in India actor's are main selling point of movies
They always do wonders actually when the budgets are pragmatic and people come on board, willing to sacrifice their fees too for the sake of supporting the story
@@TriedRefusedProductions and one good thing always happens... we come to know of a hidden talent... take 12th fail... I wish Hanuman 🥰 movie is Blockbuster 🔥🔥🔥
It's actually unbelievably great effort and it shows on the screen
I'm happy I watched it during premiere when the new movies didn't take up the screens for this.
Agree. Most of the movies are adult these days
Just a small correction Hanuman budget changed to 40CR after the teaser got hit. And I am glad it did .
After a Mediocre 2023 , Tollywood starred off 2024 very well , 1-0 already. Waiting for the huge lineup this year !

Nope, zombie reddy is a fresh take for telugu, but except the last scene and a few others, most of the parts are copy paste versions of other zombie movies. TBH, virupaksha is better according to me

I'm so excited to see the movie after your review. I was slightly worried that this movie, while being a great step ahead in the direction of bringing characters from our itihas in the most popular movie genre, might be underwhelming. I'm glad it's not. Thanks Prashanth Varma!
