Five little ducks went swimming one day
Over the hills and far away
Mother duck said “Quack, quack, quack, quack”
But only four little ducks came swimming back.

It is really difficult to get live animals (especially ones that you have hooked) to give the right kind of presentation you need to get a fish to strike for topwater. Heh, in case someone didn't know, a pike does kill just whatever they think they can swallow if it happens to swim nearby and they have the mood for it. It's their nature.

I've seen pike and wels catfish eat ducklings, pigeons and rats plenty of times while i was fishing. Always an amazing display of skill.

Where did the pike go after grabbing the duckling? Hard to see with all the splashing.

How did it eat the duck when it had star power?

The good ol' "I was just conducting an experiment! I am the puppet master!" insubstantial stock response. One of my personal favorites.

I was once attacked by a 87" Northern Pike while bathing in Manitoba. I fought her off with my bare hands and after 2 hours I finally was able to drag her onshore. Needless to say we had shorelunch for one whole week after that ordeal. The wounds are still healing on my torso, but it was worth it. Too bad I forgot my camera at home, otherwise I'd share the video here.

I remember seeing a duckling fishing lure in a sporting goods store back in the 60's. It had a large barbed hook extending from the bottom.

I've never observed this in all my years of fishing lakes with pike. Not at all surprised, though. If it moves, pike are interested.

Northern Pike are aggressive fish but ive never seen a freshwater fish as agressive as a Tiger Musky. Half pike half musky. Beautiful fish and so fun to catch due to their overly aggressive nature.

Why is your channel named Pike eats baby duck? Is that really the most original name that you could come up with for an account based solely on this video?
