Avoid the sugar and soak the poha for 30 secs only. I tried 2 mins and it literally became upma 😂

Dont soak.. just put the poha in strainer and pour water on it. Make sure u cover the whole poha with water
That's the poha uppuma of Maharashtrains. They simply call it kantha poha.we southies call it uppuma
I had it for lunch today with limited ingredients- poha, salt, sugar, onion, turmeric, sesame seed, peanut, ghee last in mix...it tasted heavenly!
Sugar too?
@@Dr_Bindhu Sugar was mentioned in the video though.
This is my favourite thing I literally can have this in every meal.

The combination of coconut and coriander is what gives the taste a lift!

Thank-you so much for mentioning the salt quantity. Salt is a game-changer for any dish and for someone who is new to cooking, guessing the quantity of 'salt to taste' is pretty frustrating.
Yeah exactly

I am Maharashtrian in Maharashtrian people's are not add cumin seed in kande Poha.
Even I never used to, but I used cumin today and it tastes super awesome. Do try it sometime 😊
I always ruin my poha either by soaking it less or more some says 2 min and some say not more than 30 sec Don't how how much time I exactly need to soak it
Yess
In Karnataka we had cumin its gives a good flavor try it once u also like
Cumin seeds adds to the taste of Kanda Poha. We GSBs add cumin seeds.
Super
You don't put hing in poha. Sugar yes I have seen people adding
Awesome 👍👍
We also add potatoes in it , to taste well
Nice recipe Ma'am.
kya bat h....😋😋😋
Awesome 👍
Look no further for a Kanda Poha recipe! This is exactly how it should be. As for the soaking time, it would depend on the type of poha being used and this is mentioned in the video. I don’t use turmeric powder for Kanda poha because that’s the way my husband likes it but I do use it when making Batata Poha.
super awesome ♨
