    honestly not surprised. F1 22 was the same on my G2 - Smooth framerate as long as long as you don't move your head... minute you do that, lots of jagger - and this was on all resolutions and details.... all my other pc games work flawlessly with the G2. One time i managed to get that fixed, but i don't remember how, was some DLL/game fix downloaded from steam workshop or github at the time

    When you use dlss or fsr (default on) it es getting extremely blurry. Just use taa and it is stunning sharp 😅

    There are some settings where you can play around with that will improve the overall experience. Its defenetive not a plug and play game for VR. The AMD fidelity cacao setting is the first one to change and look what is best. The distant blurryness is a much heard complain. I think you can get it tuned up much better .

    Your settings are wrong mate, you should go into video mode and change the SS algorythm option. Then it will be much better, even great visuals also in the distance.

      I couldn't see an SS algorithm option anywhere in video mode? where abouts mate

      @@Whykikamoocow Graphics Settings > Video Mode > Anti Aliasing > change to "TAA and FidelityFX Sharpening". This should work very well for VR.

      Vr in ams2 is absolutely amazing. Tbh works really well on most PC sim titles. Iracing is a pretty old platform and even it's really good in vr.

    TAA and AMD Fidelity Sharpening. That was the fix on F1 22 in VR. Anything else looked like vaseline was smeared on the lenses.

    Sound like something I experience with AMS2 when the distance are blurry and jaggies. In AMS2, there is a graphics file that I can go in and jack up the number and the world around me becomes sharp and clear. I don't know about F1 24.

    There are some mistakes on your setup. Please let me know if I can give you the perfect configuration. TTA and a right setup from steam VR ir is also necessary. You should get 90fps for a WOW experience. All my content is in VR 😎

    If with an RTX 4090 and a Pimax Crystal you still don't get the expected results, imagine who has an RTX 3060ti and a Quest 2. Unfortunately, EA offered the possibility of playing in VR but it hasn't and won't give it the proper treatment so we can play decently.

    F 1 24 VR vs F 1 23 VR
    I have f 1 23 VR working and the graphics are very clear running at 90 fps. However when I run F 1 24 VR, with the exact same in game graphics and VR settings, and the same quest 3, steam VR and Meta settings, as I use with F1 23 VR, the textures in the distance have an annoying sparkle on the edges of the textures and appear much more grainey.
    System specs:
    Gigabyte Z 790 Aorus MB, Gigabyte 4070 ti super GPU, 32 gb ddr 5 ram, intel i-14700 CPU
    GPU never gets over 62 degrees celcius
    Anyone else have this issue or know how to correct F1 24 vr to look as good as F 1 23 vr?

    • @waynedaley6079
      @waynedaley6079 4 месяца назад

      Ok I only had to change one setting in F1 24 to get the quality VR experience I was getting in F1 23 . On the video mode screen change the anti-aliasing setting to either TAA only or TAA Fidelity FX sharpening. No idea why I can use Nvidia Dlss for anti-aliasing in F1 23 VR but not F1 24 VR for a quality experience.

    I totally expect it because they want to advertise it as vr but they've done nothing to it since 22. Last year no change. This year no change. In some ways it's borderline fraudulent. After 3 years and it's never been good.

    I don’t know why these developers can’t make it run as well as GT7 in VR. WRC, all F1 games, and frankly, most racing games on PC in VR are terrible. They should put more effort into it. It always feels unoptimized, which is why I play most PC VR racing games on a flat screen.

    • @nativerezmedia

      AC, and Automobilista 2 are pretty good in VR on PC. Everything else I've played has been sub par.

    • @nativerezmedia
      @nativerezmedia 5 месяцев назад +1

      The one other problem with VR and these games is none have easy to navigate menu controls (like ACC, but it doesn't look great in VR). Automobilista 2 has great vr graphics, but your steering wheel mapped controller can't move through the menu, select, or go back.

    • @AutomotiveVP
      @AutomotiveVP 5 месяцев назад

      @@nativerezmedia I hate AC/ACC in VR always messing with the UI; it still feels like a holographic mess to me. AM2 has much cleaner graphics, but like you said, it's also a mess. I haven't found a racing game on PC that’s just right yet. I was hoping Grind Legends would deliver a good VR game, but then META got their hands on it and turned it into a standalone, kind of a Roblox style, which totally killed it. But no lie, I 100% agree about the menus and stuff. By the time you sort it out, you can't even be bothered to play. I just want to plug in and play, like GT7. You turn it on, stick your headset on, and off you go. That makes a huge difference, and they wonder why the VR community is almost dying out. I was not even hyped for WRC and I should of been, but like always it was just a mess in VR.

      My csl dd works fine in the ams2 VR menu and it makes gt7 look like a quest game in comparison
      Judging by the comments it seems y'all are after a sim arcade style game like gt7. Id recommend dirt rally 2 for that aspect.

    • @nativerezmedia
      @nativerezmedia 5 месяцев назад

      @@JustMambaI have a Simucube 2 sport, and a GSI FPE V1... It doesn't work in the menu, you have to use Simhub to do tricks to get it to navigate in Ams2 (like most Sim wheels/bases). A Logitech G29 might work, or wheels that are recognized as "controllers" like an Xbox or ps4/5 controller. But there is no way of mapping the navigation controls to my preferred wheel and buttons.
