Prime rib is so very easy. Oven at 500. 5 minutes per pound. Shut off oven and let sit for 2 hours. Don’t open the oven until time is up. We use this method every time we fix prime rib and it never fails.

This is a great recipe. I use it for roast beef too. I do put a digital thermometer in it just to be sure its the exact temp I want. You might wonder at some point if it is going to get there, but it will. Don’t open the oven. I also cut the bones off and tie them back on before cooking. So much easier and the bones are great in the air fryer later.

What an amazing grocery haul, I will live vicariously through you. So fun, I want to see how everything turns out. We live on an island and the weather has been so bad lately that there are no boats with food (This happens most winters, everyone prepares, and we also have local, flour, milk and meat. We are good, no sadness at all.). We will be having a non traditional Christmas dinner of "what is in the freezer and cupboard". The thing though is no one cares. My teen would rather have pizza anyway, my husband is not a fan of turkey, and I will not have to cook all day, yay! It will be a great dinner. We bring traditions, love and the beautiful little thoughts, also known as Pezz dispensers (that rocks by the way).
You bring so much fun to all you do, thank you Jen.

I didn't care about smelling good until my parents told me that it was time I go out and find a husband. Are you OK? I miss seeing you! I understand that the holidays are maddening and I guess I am kinda selfish, but I miss you! Hope you and the family are OK.
I have dietary restrictions due to major allergies.. gluten, eggs, shellfish, honey, dairy and a few others. So meal planning on a regular day is hard. The holidays send me in a tizzy. I had to go to 5 grocery stores, ordered a few things online. Then I still had to do a panic Walmart pickup order yesterday on the 23rd. I'm laying here in bed at 7am on Xmas Eve thinking of at least 4 things I forgot. I work til 4 today. Guess I gotta run in a grocery store before work. 😂 🤦♀️
I wanted to make "Grinch punch" but I could not find the lime sherbet the week before Christmas. Ended up using lime frozen fruit bars.
AITA: my kids are in their 30s, left home long ago, and I still put their stockings up and fill them. 😂

Hi Jen it's January 8th are you just taking a break.Hope all is well.
You will probably see this too late but I will post anyway:) I always make prime rib for Christmas. A couple of tried and true methods- Sous vide it! It comes out perfect and then you can put a crust on it either on the bbq or under the broiler. Another option is to bake it encased in rock salt(this is how most restaurants do it). And the third option is how I am doing mine tomorrow- herb crusted in the oven. Al work well. Merry Christmas:)

It's incredible how much she spends on food. One week it's $800.00, and then the next week it's $500.00. I know food prices are through the roof, but this is ridiculous. I thought this was a one time thing, but she has been doing this for years. I can only imagine how much food waste she generates. $500.00 for "last minute" shopping...really???

@@terathompson9506 That's nothing to be proud about. She boasts that she does "Lasagna Love" on one hand, but wastes so much on the other, when people are struggling to feed their children and keep a roof over their head?? She may appear concerned on RUclips, but her actions are a different story.

She posts this video then next week she will post a clean-out-the-fridge video and throw out spoiled uneaten fruits and veggies (claiming her kids ask for it-hence all her prep work). I was just saying she has said in the past she does not have budget when she shops, but will do budget friendly videos for her budget conscious subscribers. Bottom line it’s her channel and life to do what she wants.
