    You are running wrong FOV and have camara in the wrong place , I'm a keen iracer and can see that this simulator is broken as the sim is alowing you to lean on the tires too much.
    Clearly this is a simcade game like AC1 and RF2 as we all know real tires just give up when pushed into more slip.
    Also your FFB settings are wrong as you are moving the wheel too much due to there being too much detail , please add more filter and dampening to the wheel to make it realistic.
    The motion rig is also set up wrong as you should actually be rolling around and tilting 90degrees when going through corners.
    I hope you can take my advice onboard and apply it to your next video.

      Oh that's why it felt so out of place... I was wondering. Thanks for the advice, will definitely adjust my FOV first!

      also you forgot to mention to buy haptics for break pedal to feel ABS locking.

    Question: why do Porsche Cup drivers never press 100% of the brake pedal? Is it because of no ABS? And if so, does this mean they have 100% brake *pressure* available if they wanted?

    • @MoritzLoehner
      @MoritzLoehner  Год назад +24

      In real life 100% doesn't really exist. What you see with the red bar is just a calibration from 0 to 100 bar, but you can press a lot more than that. Usually the best braking performance with ABS for example is at around 80 to 90 bar depending on track surface otherwise you brake too much into the ABS and you have micro tire locking and understeer, same when you drive without abs the tires will fully lock at one point if you apply too much pressure.

    Nice Moritz!
    Do you push the throttle slightly during braking to have less engine break and with that more stability into the corner (at least I am assuming this if that's the case) or is the input meter just not that accurate? (There is 101% throttle sometimes: 1:07 and 1:34)

    • @MoritzLoehner
      @MoritzLoehner  Год назад +1

      The „throttle input“ is the opening of the throttle valve and not the throttle pedal itself.

    This car feels so good in RF2, I can't even imagine how amazing it must be to drive IRL. you have driven it really well too, looks like sim skills do transfer IRL after all.
    Would like to hear your thought on how it compares to sim.

    tell me now you cant compare anyithing with real life.. but closest one to the real life is iRacing 100000000%

    • @MoritzLoehner
      @MoritzLoehner  Год назад +23

      rFactor 2 physics for the Porsche Cup are the best at the moment. iRacing has some weird physics, especially the tires make it quite bad in this state.

      @heikogehrig Год назад +1

      @@MoritzLoehnerVery cooI video! I think a lot of people would be interested in videos on which sims are most realistic, generally. So rFactor 2 is more realistic vs ACC for the cup car? A great series would be videos on how you get a seat in the Cup car, or any track time on anything at that. It’d take a lot of your resources to make, but potentially help fun your racing dreams… not many people comparing real life vs sim.

      are they looking to improve it? iRacing has some almost perfect recreations but this is not one of them. Isn´t RF2 model way too slippery and forgiving when drifting? I kinda feel they both have exactly what the other part lacks.@@MoritzLoehner
