no brother it will cost 1200 rs. per day including food and that is because unlike other Ashrams this place is not completely managed by volunteers (I think). May be if u seek for volunteering there could be some option of free stay and food

Make sure that u have raincoat as there's no place to get shelter in between. Some path were really narrow and uneven so try to be etra cautious while riding... rest is ok I think.. all the very best

Single women please refrain from going alone to Ashram. Sadly these are not the best times for single women to be visiting this Ashram. Even if you have to visit, just get your job done quietly without catching attention and get out of there as soon as possible without talking to any permanent resident there. You will be Sadly judged by the Administration's men in power, men and women alike. They will eye at you and judge you, just like any other ordinary man outside in the streets of India. Women have had to spend a night at the nearest police station (a police officer I met there in person told me) because of such horrible judgments among the admin men and women alike. For instance, the current treasurer, Suvinder Gargas, in one of his meetings with my parents, said to them disgustingly without an ounce of shame - "Women like your daughter start thinking Om Swami to be their husband". Disgusting, isn't it? Thankfully my mother lashed out at him right there and then. I have a husband and a kid. But this attitude did not stop Suvinder from judging further, me and other single visitors like me. Situation right now is so bad, that even the permanent resident single women including the Sadhvis won't come to your aid, they side with the admin in chucking you out, blaming your conduct and behavior to be the reason, without even establishing a relation with you to know more about you. The permanent residents think themselves to be smarter than the new comers to Ashram. They will exercise their half knowledge on spirituality, conduct and behavior on new people who are not permanent residents. Another such instance, A woman was man-handled by the same man Suvinder, while the permanent resident women watched shamefully, without stopping him. This event too, happened in front of me, I shouted and called for help. Nobody listened! Women there did not stop to hear that woman's account or plea. It was a very shameful event that has disgusted the notion of an ashram forever for me. Return to this Ashram, only when the times there are back on track again. I hope with all the truth in my heart, that this happens soon!

Hi vartika didi I was thinking to go badrika aashram. As solo male.
But by your comment about women and their behaviour to outsider non permanent resident and their narrow minded and half knowledge EGO people i am now rethinking.
Can you please tell more insight of aashram treatment.?
