Hey Elliot, I would find it interesting if you would talk some time about the topic of men who grew up without a father figure... they usually are very insecure in courtship, dating and relationships and don't know how to treat a woman right because they had no role model... I experienced this often in dating...
Even men whom had a father but was absent /abusive are very damaged in adulthood. I'd recommend not to engage with men like that. If possible. Unless the father died etc.. that's different.

I hate when men go silent after having a great time. It's so confusing and nerve wrecking. I'm dating a guy and he only goes silent every now and then and I hate it. I'm so loving and caring but I'm not chasing him it all. I'm only giving him the same energy he's giving me
If you're actively dating you need to raise your interest level in other things that HE has to compete with e.g. other men, outings, hobbies etc. The fact that you hate it means you're too emotionally invested.

Dwelling on it in every moment does not work. Its really hard i would suggest you have a frank discussion abt it :)
