The sheer, gritty reality of this movie and the plot, understated acting, camera angles, incredible horsemanship and stunts, is terrific.
Genuine drama, suspense, and a heartwarming ending. As you often say Bob, good old fashioned values, the best of America.
Thanks much, a lot of good ones but this might be the best, hard to decide.

Bob Steele was an exceptional horseman. Robert Bradbury was Bob's dad and directed him in a number of pictures.

By the looks of his parents, Bob was a late, late baby; mum must have been forty five when the kid was born and kidnapped. Then he grows up (16???) and meets a girl with a Marcel Wave - a style of hair and dress that didn't exist until the 1920/30's.
A good story line with every cliché imaginable.

I enjoy Bob Steele movies and he was a great cowboy actor but I didn't like him as a bad guy in his later years. But he was a good actor even then.

Towards the end of the movie there are 2 instances where running trips are used to bring horses down. These are truly evil. It must have been stock footage inserted because I don`t recall seeing trips used in a Bob Steele movie before & I`ve watched plenty.

You're right Jeff, horse tripping was very bad. I've read up on it. Many horse had their legs broken and had to be destroyed. I cringe whenever I see it.

Bob there is still too much echo on your promo speech...however, improvement much better than your first. tell the sound board man to turn down the background when recording. the Mike needs to be closer and covered
