  • Dr. Dennis Cremin, professor of history and director of the Lewis University History Center, says there are three main components in today’s museum exhibits.
Cremin has consulted on several exhibits, including Illinois organizations who are hosted the “Hometown Teams: Sports in American Communities” exhibit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street (MOMS) program. Cremin frequently presents insights on place-based learning, museums and history. In 2014, he was the keynote speaker at the 16th Annual Conference on Illinois History.

There is a handsome and informative book on museum exhibition design from the eyes of a famed SF bay area museum exhibition designer with decades of experience in planning and designing museum exhibitions. The book is available at Fine Arts Press. The book should be of interest to anyone working in or interested in museum exhibition design, as well as residential design in regards to fine art installation.
