They purposefully left out this verse of the hymn:
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Thank you so much for this wonderful uplifting hymn. It was my childhood favourite when I went to church with my grandmother at the Salvation Army in outback Australia. I so hope it will be in our new hymn book.
