Thank you so much for this video! I just got an Xtherm and was really struggling to figure out how the pump sack is supposed to work. The Thermarest videos all just say blow into the sack but that's not actually a helpful instruction. This was just what I needed.
I have a Thermarest NeoAir XTherm (size small) that came with a small pump bag that includes a rubber nozzle. The pumpbag is too small to be of much use. However, I carry a large rucksack liner that I fill with air and insert the end into the pumpbag. If done outside, when there is a breeze, filling the rucksack liner with air is easier. Taking shelter from the rain in my Hilleberg Soulo makes the task much harder, with little room to manoeuvre. Sometimes, I resort to blowing up by mouth. On such occasions, I reinflate once home using the bag/ less moist air. I then leave in a warm place to allow any trapped moisture to evaporate before expelling. Having a shorter length pad obviously saves weight but is also easier to inflate.
Great technique demo. Thank you for sharing.

Best instructional video for using the pump bag, thanks.
