Was hoping that the electrification from Leeds to Hull, York, Bradford Interchange, Huddersfield, Manchester Victoria, Sheffield and Harrogate could happen but I don’t think it would happen. But still Leeds is a good location for electric and diesel trains providing all services including to London, Manchester, Sheffield and Scotland.

Busy " little " station Mr Boogie. Nice to see so much movement. It will be nice to see the electrification schemes completes so that the Liverpool Newcastle services can run on more electric than diesel. Looking forward to the next episode. 🤓

Very busy location and not so little, with 17 platforms and several through routes. Because it doesn't have a tram or metro system, Leeds is often portrayed as the poor relation in public transport discussions, however there are lots of trains running on local routes. Perhaps the real issues are cost, capacity and reliability of the railway. Capacity could be quickly enhanced by ordering more coaches from CAF to lengthen the 195s and 331s.

The electrification from Leeds to Neville Hill didn't happen until the Aire Valley lines were done. There was no reason for an ECML train to go to Neville Hill.

Ah. An assumption on my part. I thought the 225 sets were stabled at Neville Hill if required.

@BoogiesTrains Not until the NH electrification had been done.
