    While I liked your video I found it hard to hear because of the unnecessary music. It adds no value and competes with you explaining things. I know that there will be people who will not like my comment but I still feel like I should say something about the music.

    Does the blue light need to be flashing or on all the time for a good hard drive. I have 3 of these hard drives, all clicking, not spinning, that used to work great when in a computer. cheers steven

      Oh yes brother. Please try this approach first. This is the first basic steps in hard drive repairing. So no worries try that and if it doesn't work we will try another alternative. I will make another future video to show people the other common problem that affect hard drives but before I make that video I need to make a supporting video on Electronics engineering's like how to use the soldering iron, multimeter and how to test electronics components. After those videos then you can repair so many things on your own. Almost any gadget provided is electronics. I will teach you simple way So you don't have to be afraid of anything. You can follow my channel and learn so many secrets of repairing that you will not find anywhere. Please take my WhatsApp no and communicate with me after you attempt to repair your drive. 00233246842497. Thanks and stay blessed brother.

      Hello brother . I'm sorry for the situation. Please follow the tutorial first and if it doesn't work then it means the read or write head needs replacement and that should be done by a professional person since it requires professional equipment and experience. Please contact me on WhatsApp 00233246842497 if any further guide. Thanks bro.

    Can you fix WD Passport that is making a clicking noise every 2 seconds?

    • @saforotech8552
      @saforotech8552  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi brother, the clicking Noise of hard drives depends on the degree of damage. The problem can be the read and write heads or the controller board (pcb). If you need to swap the read or write head then you need a specialised equipment for this purpose and this has to be in an extremely clean room. My tutorial solution is just to teach viewers some of the common ways to fix some faulty hard drives that have the same symptoms. This solution can work for some drives with minor issues that has poor contact between the pcb to the mechanical drive read and write head connector terminals. Hope you understand brother. You can try this solution and if it doesn't work for you then it means the problem is coming from faulty read or write heads. Thanks for watching brother and please contact me if you need any furwr guide ( my WhatsApp or call - 00233246842497 )

      Not in all cases brother. But you can try and see. Most of the time it solves the noise problem due to bad contacts of the read / write actuator terminal. Thank you for watching bro.

    I got a laptop hard drive working fine but makes that clicking sound. Transferring media from one external hard drive to another hard drive takes forever. Any fix to this?

    • @saforotech8552
      @saforotech8552  7 месяцев назад

      Ok brother, this is my own secret that I have been using for Soo many years to transfer slow information on failing drive due to bad sectors. If you have a desktop computer it's pretty easy to open it and also you can connect both of your drives together in it. but if you only have a laptop then this is what you do. You have to disassemble to drive section and replace or connect it the faulty drive inside the laptop. Then use an external casing or sata external device to connect the good drive. You will now need this program called hirens bootcd PE. Just Google and you can easily download it on hirensbootcd.com Create it with Rufus on a USB flash drive and boot it with your laptop whilst the two hard drives are both connected. Please Note this hirens bootcd pe has windows 10 operating system already on installed on the USB flash drive. So you boot it and get to the desktop. Go to this Pc and copy your data and you can see the two drives there. Now just copy the information you want. Sometimes for the first time when boot from the USB flash drive, it might be slow but please be patient for t to get the windows desktop. Then after you can shit down the laptop and restart it again then it will now be operating at normal speed. If you have any issues whasapp me on 00233246842497. I'm currently at work so I will respond anytime soon as I can brother.

    Great tutorial. Did not work for me. My drive makes clicking sounds and stops. I have already opened it and the head is not stuck on the platter. It was not dropped or damaged as far as I know. It tries to read three times and stops. The clicking comes from the head trying to read and withdraws., It does three times and stops. Any advice?

    • @saforotech8552
      @saforotech8552  Месяц назад

      Sorry brother, I understand. Your problem is the read or write head is damaged so it cannot read the disc. The only solution is to replace it and it's quite expensive. So if data is not the problem then I will suggest you let it go and replace the disk or buy another one. Hope thats fine brother

    • @saforotech8552
      @saforotech8552  11 месяцев назад

      Hello bro, im really sorry about the situation. First of all please follow this method in the tutorial and if it still persists then Im sure one of the integrated circuits on the hard drive controller board (PCB) is faulty. If you really want to recover data from this hard drive then you have to know a little of electronics to replace the chip or order the whole controller board and replace the firmware chip from the old controller board to the new one. But if you don't have much sensitive data then I will advice you purchase another drive instead. Very soon I will start teaching electronics to teach members how to repair their computer and other gadgets beyond this basic level. Please kindly WhatsApp me if you need further assistance brother +233246842497

    brother, this is an excellent tutorial but bad luck, it didn't work for me. the clicking noise is still there and the HDD doesn't show up on the computer. When I go and see in the Disk Management, this HDD is being shown as "Not Initialized". Do you know something about this? The light is glowing properly and being shown in the taskbar to "eject safely". Please, need your help. Thanks in advance.

    • @saforotech8552
      @saforotech8552  8 месяцев назад

      Hi bro, thanks for the compliments. Yes, drive not initialized caused by hardware failure is due to stuck read or write head. For that your last resort is to open the drive on a very clean room and reset the head to its original position . Please take my WhatsApp now and let me see if I can get any additional information to guide you. 00233246842497. Thanks brother

      It depends brother. This tutorial was done with four different hard drives. If you watch the video carefully you observed the hard drive are four (4). Each of them had clicking sound and I followed the repair process for all the four faulty drives. Fortunately two of the hard drives were repaired successfully using this method whilst the other two did not work. So I only showed one of the successful hard drives which worked with the process. There are other way to also fix hard drives with the same symptoms but before I make a video on that I need to make a video on '' How to test electronic components using a multimeter and also how to use a soldering iron, etc. Sometimes I make videos using working equipment like this video with the link I'm going to provide. The motive is to show the viewers what exactly you did or can do to resolve the problem and that is what teaching and learning is all about. You need to test the process to ensure they really work before impacting to your audience. Some people do videos that don't even work just to get views but I do my videos based on extensive research and testing. Thanks brother. Hope you are cool now. ruclips.net/video/iau0TkxAfYM/видео.html

    Example of what not to do. Rubber leaves a layer that is insulating and hands leave grease that oxidizes the terminals over time.

      I understand brother. Thanks for this submission.One thing about teaching is you try to give an idea and a clue and followers learn, improve upon it and develop their own appropriate methods just to make it better. I will update this tutorial to another level where the same symptoms will require components replacement on the circuit board. I will have to do some videos about electronics engineering before that. Thanks once again bro for this tip We are always learning!!! God bless you!!!
