I love catching whiting because I keep them for my pike fishing they are fantastic pike baits pike love them! I also dye them red when I freeze them and vac pack them they are then visible to pike in coloured water 😊 hot tip if anyone is interested 😊
That is great to hear and never thought of that. I used to be a freshwater fisherman and still go occasionally and am out pike fishing in two weeks time. I will now see a value in pin whiting and keep some as baits. Cheers for that 🎣👍👍🍺🍺 The dye idea sounds brilliant 🤩
Cheers Andrew you are bang on and really look forward to seethe plants grow, the hedges get that tinge of green as they start to wake up, but the best bit is more daylight for fishing take care 🎣🎣👍👍🍺
Hi Adam am getting better and getting out certainly aids recovery as does beers 🍺 😂 A disappointing day weather and fish wise but still we caught and didn’t go home having blanked. Cheers for the support take care 👍🎣🎣🎣🍺
Nice to see you getting yourself back Paul , as you say Whitting are fish and area saviour of a blank day next time can be a whole lot better stay safe catch you next time 😅😅
Hi John yep you are right Whiting often save the blank. Am aiming to get out this weekend on a proper beach so fingers crossed for something decent cheers 🎣👍👍🍺🍺🎣
That is kind of you to say and getting back into the groove of life and more importantly fishing. Unfortunately a bit of a lacklustre session but as we all know that’s what fishing is about. Just good to be out having a laugh. Cheers 🎣👍🍺🍺🍺
Hi fellow disappointed for you although I wasn’t too happy with Rockling and tiny whiting 😂 hey ho that’s fishing. It was a bad tide with really thick dirty water, cold and a strong wind making the sea really choppy but still we all had a laugh out in a bit of nature. Planning to fish a beach I have never been to this weekend Eastbourne way although going to be ruddy cold by all accounts. Cheers 👍🎣🎣🎣🍺😎
Well for once i was the melancholy one due to carer issues with a very elderly relative but whilst there i saw you had posted another vid, there was light at the end of the tunnel ! Anyway I've now watched it , so comments: Do you not sleep well ? you have no problem getting up at sparrows fart ! Rockling (slugs) synonymous with dirty water as are the little whiting 😂😂 Good idea putting back on the inside, we used to use buckets and a length of strong rope. Your points system is interesting 🤣🤣 good swell coming into the Harbour. Thank you so much, you brightened my Evening.
Hi Ray glad I gave you something to chuckle at and being a carer is wearing in so many ways and my heart goes out to you. Mother in law is now very happy in her new home and gets weekly visits from myself, wife and my daughter on our terms which is so much easier to manage and a big weight of our emotions. Anyway to answer your questions I sleep well but do go to bed earlier than my wife and never had a problem with early mornings but rubbish after 9.00 pm 😂😂 Re Rockling water was really dirty and haven’t caught one for many years and Andy had 9 😂 Still use a bucket with rope to return larger fish. The points system always seems to work against Rob and has taken many years to hone to be seen to treat every one fairly 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment much appreciated and also thanks for making me chuckle on a Monday evening cheers 🎣👍👍🍺😎
Hi Richard thanks for taking the time to watch and comment really appreciated. Wasn’t the best of conditions and not the target I was after but we all caught fish and had a laugh cheers 👍🎣🎣🍺🍺
Hi Michael love the reels easy to use and pretty forgiving and pared with the rods cast a distance even with a gentle lob. Getting down to Eastbourne next weekend maybe white horses and looking forward to winding the rods up again. Cheers and take care 🎣🎣👍👍🍺🍺
Yet another very enjoyable video Paul. Like myself I can see you thoroughly enjoy not only your sport but your video diary of your exploits. It's not easy at times but you have my full support 👍
You are bang on and had a big laugh outdoors with the chance of that fish of a lifetime moment and the video diary gives me something to look back on when older. Cheers for the support it really is appreciated take care 🎣🎣👍👍🍺🍺
Wow ! 2 rockling, i’ve never caught one myself, lucky you 😂 we’re starting to see doggo’s here and the thornies are still around. The whiting have disappeared but no doubt they’ll be back when it turns colder again.. always a pleasure to see your videos Paul, thanks for the smiles 🤙
Hi Colin I rarely have caught rockling thank goodness as they usually are a harbinger of a bad day. It was cold really windy with a rough muddy sea. Last time I caught them was quite a few years ago. We are having another crack Eastbourne way this weekend cheers for the kind words and the support really appreciate it take care 👍🎣🎣🍺🍺
Yep at least we beat the dreaded blank but had a sinking feeling once we all started catching rockling and a real murky day. Still had a laugh which is what it’s all about cheers 🍻 👍🎣🎣
Great video Paul and good to see you looking well and continuing your recovery. Much the same being caught here in broadstairs with more rockling showing than in recent years. Still good to get out and I like you continuing my recovery and trying not to look too far ahead. Health is wealth so keep going and you will continue your improvement. Best wishes Dave
Hi Dave am getting there by stages and been a wee bit challenging and one more operation to go and like you don’t stare to far into the future. Rockling and whiting are good to catch occasionally as they have saved me from a blank but can get rather tedious but as one viewer said he loves catching whiting as they make great Pike baits. Went Eastbourne way today and did well and not a rockling in sight for me and all of us caught a few fish. You are bang on about health is wealth and wishing you a steady and progressive recovery cheers and take care 👍🎣🍺🍺
Hi Eddie and be good to have a meet up. Shoreham was a bit disappointing as conditions were not ideal really muddy rough seas, tide going out, strong wind and ruddy cold and once you start catching rockling it all goes downhill 😂 Still am getting out again this weekend to Eastbourne.🤞cheers and take care 🎣🎣👍👍🍺🍺
Great to see you out and about. Looks like a fun little session there. I think that those busy little turnstones that patrol the pier should be the money collectors, they do a great job clearing up all the bait bits and are constantly in high speed mode. Really enjoyed watching . Tight Lines Paul
Big hello and the Turnstones always make me smile and as you rightly say do a cracker of a job keeping the bait cleared away. Tough day but did catch some fish in brilliant company take care 🎣👍😃🍺
Eazy Paul and the lads you all ok, great start to the vid about opening the jail gates to get sentenced to fishing Hahahaha. Great banter amongst ya's that what it all about with all this war shit what's going on in the world. At least you dint blank n had a laff. All the best from GRIMSBY
Hi Carl you are bang on fishing is a great escape from the worries of the world and all the rubbish going on. The lads are a great medicine and make me laugh and keep me on my toes. We caught a few maybe just not the right species or size 😂😂cheers to you from down south take care 🎣👍👍🍺🎣
Hi again Paul, another great video thanks for that , q&a , could you kindly give me a contact number please for info on cost and accessibility for disabled anglers I realise you’re not an information centre but you are an all round nice guy 👍any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks.
Hi William Car park open 24 hours and costs £5.00 for the day and there are 4 to 6 spaces outside which are free on Sunday but you need to get there early. There are toilets nearby but they open and shut at odd times and I have a radar key for local loos when shut. Walking to the arm is not far with a couple of gentle inclines and it is packed down so not too loose. One of my friends has Parkinson’s and can walk there with a trolley. If using a wheelchair it does have access and a ramp from the car park but past the fort would need larger wheels to negotiate the shingle. The arm opens at 8.00am for non members and shuts at dusk. It is kept clean and costs me an o a p 😂 £4.00 for two rods. Many regular anglers and all a great bunch. I cannot walk too far at the moment and is an ideal venue for me cheers 👍🎣🍺🎣🎣

Cheers my friend another great day out fishing shame the fish didn’t turn up as we hoped
Thanks to you Rob and Andy’s for some great laughs 🎣👍🤣
Hi Martin always great to share a day with the fish ninja and had a brilliant day in your Rob and Andy’s company a big 15 out of ten 🎣🎣👍👍🍺🍺🤩
great to see you out
Another enjoyable day. Every comic needs a fall guy , and I'm happy to fill the role ! Take care, keep smiling, see you soon.
You are my little to large and my cannon to ball. Great to share your company and need someone to keep me grounded 👍
You are a top bloke cheers 👍🎣🍺🍺😃
Brillant Paul as you would say least it’s a fish stay strong hope your keeping well tight lines 🎣🎣🎣🎣

Another great vid and a session where no one blanked , unlike me and my brother at Leysdown on Saturday 😂. 👍🏻🎣
