    Tino Rossi does a fantastic rendition of a classic! He also songs well in French. I lived in Cuba as a child & quickly developed a big place in my heart for the Spanish language torch songs. Agh. 💃🌹

      This song was written by a 16 year old Mexican girl! The correct definition of this type of song is a Bolero. The original language is Spanish, but it sounds even more passionate in French!

    I've heard so many bad covers of Besame Mucho that although I love listening to Tino Rossi I have always avoided this piece. His interpretation on this recording has completely changed my mind - truly magnificent!

      the lyrics are a mix of different languages. Tino spoke different languages.
      There was NO Spanish version.
      THIS is the original.
      The 15 year old girl didn't speak multiple languages fluently so how can they give her credit ?

    I first heard this song when I was very young, my Papa would sing it while plucking and strumming on his guitar, (He was known to be one of the good guitarists in our town). Every time I miss his voice I would always sing the first line which the only words I can remember and ham the rest of the lyrics. I agree it is a beautiful song especially because my father made it more beautiful to my ears.

    I grew up listening to Tino Rossi in Europe. He was so wonderful. That was long, long time ago... and Besame Mucho was my no. 1 song.

    I get musical tinnitus and this lovely tune has been playing in my head all day . This Tino Rossi version is the only one I can remember hearing when I was young. I did not know the title and looked up "South American tune popular in the 50s." And I never knew it was Mexican but it makes perfect sense now ----.Beautiful.

      Gabriella Daniella very simple just google it I think is was first an American singer that recorded first and then so manny people like the Beatles and Frank Sinatra but was Consuelo Velazquez Mexican composer and singer who composed it and recorded in 1941 and then other latínoamericans boleristas ( bolero singers ) .

It was composed in 1940 and the first recorded version of this song was in 1941 by Emilio Tuero and Chela Campos, but it was made even more famous when it was recorded by Jimmy Dorsey and his Orchestra in 1944 in the United States and topped the charts.

    I love the songs sung by Tino Rossi. The comments tell of the memories people had of their fathers or mothers singing the songs when they were children. The memories resurface after many years and make them feel good and also sad because of their departed ones.

    This song always reminds me of me of my grandfather. He gave me a tape with this song when I was 8 years old and I never forgot it ever since. Now that I'm 21 I still love this a trillion times more than most of the artists that came out on my generation like Lady GaGa : /

    What a beautiful rendition by . I had first heard this tune in 80s (when I was in school) in an old hindi film which was made in 60s-. The indian musicians duo used it in a hindi song which was sung by legendary The tune stayed in my mind/heart since 80s and after many years in 2006 when I heard it again I was mesmerised again with its immortality- that is the magic of this great composition -Kudos to the great composer She will live through this composition for centuries.
