"My truth" is useful language that's been coopted and distorted. It's useful in describing something personal to you that might inform your decisions or explain your intent. It started getting used in that way, and then idiots started using it to justify bigotry.
as an example, i remember some person who found an injured stray cat that needed help saying that the dog they had as a kid "sent" that cat to them, and they knew that in their soul that they were meant to find that cat... like to me that is garbage talk, but its their truth and they used it to express the intense connection they felt to their pet.
